Based on what is flying round Twitter it seems that contractors working at Victoria (not sure if LU's project or something else) have poured quick setting concrete into the signalling equipment room for the Victoria Line at Victoria! TfL are saying "flooding" Ooooppps! Not an easy fix at all if the equipment has been damaged.

This is a very costly flood!! In my last job doing ventilation/ ductwork when we installed new control panels that did all sorts of things these cost about £10k a piece and although they were only about a meter square still alot!! so I can guess this control room flood is going to be very expensive, not just the damaged equipment but also the ticket acceptance and emergency bus service!

It'll be a nice test of the negotiating prowess of LU project and contractor's staff in trying to work through the inevitable claim. As you say there are likely to be some *big* numbers involved - especially if there is any liability for service disruption given the PM peak service was blown out on the most heavily used section of line. It'll be thousands and thousands of lost customer hours and even internally there are targets for various bits of LU's organisation. Something tells me the Projects target has just been exceeded!
