I am surprised Docklands SI garage never put it's WVLs on route D6 during the strike and the E200s on the 541 for two days. The 541 carries light loads so could managed with single deckers. I wish that the D6 was WVL!

It appears that the tube strike due from tonight has been suspended.

It appears that the tube strike due from tonight has been suspended. Confirmed via various sources in the media and the trade unions. TfL have not yet published a press release *confirming* the suspension of the strike action but I expect it will follow in due course.

On a related note, the leader of the RMT union (Bob Crow) has died. RIP.

The RMT have announced the return of the "London Vintage Bus Rally" (aka a Tube Strike) from 2100 on 14/10/14 for 48 hours so next Wed / Thurs are the days with the biggest disruption.

In addition to the "London Vintage Bus Rally" we may see some early appearances of LTs on the 453 if any are service ready by then, perhaps even a 'remote' chance of one or two on the 12.

Surely more likely to be stuffed on the 11 as that is usually supplemented during tube strikes? At least everyone would be familiar with the bus type even if sheets of paper on the windscreen to show the route number.

A little bird has told me that if the strike does happen there may (subject to confirmation) be a mega mega exciting exclusive bus out on service.
