That set me thinking as how best to do all R1-R11 routes end to end most efficiently. Here goes with my suggestion I’ve no idea if it’s the most efficient way of doing it - I suspect there may be a few ways of doing it - but since I’m at the changeover point for my bus a bit early I worked out an itinerary based on your suggestion. It’s based on weekday times and requires some VERY tight connections and ends up needing half an hour in the pub at Chelsfield to wait for an R7 going around the Chelsfield loop since the R7 you end up on at Chislehurst terminates at the Five Bells! Here’s the itinerary: R8 - 0630 Orpington Bus Station Arrive Biggin Hill Post Office 0659 R2 - 0733 Biggin Hill Post Office Arrive Biggin Hill East Hill 0740 R2 - 0746 Biggin Hill East Hill Arrive Orpington Walnuts Centre 0825 Walk to Orpington War Memorial Arrive 0828 R11 - 0831 Orpington War Memorial Arrive Green Street Green 0841 R1 - 0852 Green Street Green Arrive Orpington Station 0909 R9 - 0909 Orpington Station Arrive Orpington Station 0939 R1 - 0948 Orpington Station Arrive St Paul’s Cray Grovelands 1015 Walk to Midfield Way Arrive 1019 R11 - 1020 Midfield Way Arrive Queen Mary’s Hospital 1032 R11 - 1043 Queen Marys Hospital Arrive Orpington War Memorial 1117 Walk to Orpington Station Arrive 1129 R6 - 1156 Orpington Station Arrive St Mary Cray Station 1222 R1 - 1222 St Mary Cray Station Arrive Orpington Station 1237 R3 - 1247 Orpington Station Arrive PRU 1335 R4 - 1350 PRU Arrive Paul’s Cray Hill 1437 R4 - 1439 Paul’s Cray Hill Arrive Orpington Station 1505 R5 - 1547 Orpington Station Arrive Orpington Station 1658 R10 - 1706 Orpington Station Arrive Orpington Station 1814 Walk Tubbenden Lane Arrive 1817 61 - 1828 Tubbenden Lane Arrive Chislehurst Sainsburys 1849 R7 - Chislehurst Sainsburys 1859 Arrive Chelsfield Village 1948 R7 - 2015 Chelsfield Village Arrive Orpington Station 2032 An alternative ending would be the 1843 R7 from Tubbenden Lane and ride that around Chelsfield and on to Chislehurst arriving at 1943. But then you don’t get half an hour in the Five Bells! 😉 So rugbyref, you’ve made the plan and I’ve made the itinerary. We just need someone crazy enough to go and do it now! 😂 RandomBusesGirl theorangeone

Completed the 404 end to end last week, and completed route 146 two weeks ago.
Surprised that I haven't mentioned this but I completed route K1 end to end last year, albeit in various sections

Sadly the new one. Although I had done the old 23 almost fully before - only outstanding bit was from 2 stops before Ladbroke Grove to Westbourne Park. Which is now covered!

I've seen empty 23's on Park Lane but decently loaded buses between Hammersmith and Hyde Park Corner meanwhile the 9 and 390 are noticeably busier

The old 23 was practically busy throughout although I purposely chose the Westbourne Park running day and a on loan Stagecoach TA to do the old 23 end to end

Did two more end to ends before I went on holiday:
A10 - absolutely fantastic route, really fast and so many different bits to it. Shockley Park, a motorway and a drive down some rural back roads. Just amazing
195 - don’t know what I was thinking doing this one but it was an awful route. Felt like it took forever and got absolutely packed full at Southall. Not a fun one to try out.

I remember the 195 from when London Buslines ran it. The only time I saw it was if I was out at Hayes doing the 90B’s or 140’s. Even then I decided to avoid it. Never been on it to this day but it does perform some very useful alternative links. Hopefully if the H32 ever gets extended to Hayes from Southall, the 195 wont get as packed. Needs double decks in my opinion. Operated from Twickenham still as well. Poor drivers.
