Did route 465 yesterday end to end in both directions. It mainly runs within Surrey for most of the route but it is a pretty lovely route for scenery. I was also lucky enough to get a Versa in both directions, having OV30071 on the journey to Kingston and OV30074 on the journey back. It has to be said though, most of Optare's buses that Quality Line have built after 2010 pretty much look the same inside, the Versas reminded me of the S1's Metrocity's and OS20255 which previously served the 404 up until October last year, especially as they had the same engine as OS20255. It was quite an eventful journey though as I shall explain on the General Discussion and Ranting thread.

Did route 197 end to end on Saturday in both directions Done also the 197 end to end last Friday, have to say its a nice interesting route that goes though different varieties of South London The 197 is an amazing route. Just ever so slightly misses out on my top 10. I can join the band of people who have also done the 197 end to end in the past couple of days Also did the 164 too, awful route with HORRID HORRID buses. Those 65-reg E200s are shocking vehicles. Why not I’ll add my entire list too. 1, 17, 19, 25, 41, 66, 74, 85, 108, 111, 129, 131, 135, 156, 164, 178, 195, 107, 209, 210, 227, 241, 257, 285, 291, 323, 329, 332, 378, 401, 406, 412, 418, 472, 473, 507, A10, C1, C3, D6, D8, E1, H14, H17, H20, H91. 2, 4, 18, 29, 44, 139, 179, 221, 237, 247, 262, 264, 343, 432, W13 are pretty much done with a few stops missing from the ends.

I rode one of the 65 reg ZF examples on the 164 recently and was a very good ride, driver clearly knew how to control the ZF box and was comfortable and quick too. Always liked the route too since it the old P & R reg LDP's

I rode one of the 65 reg ZF examples on the 164 recently and was a very good ride, driver clearly knew how to control the ZF box and was comfortable and quick too. Always liked the route too since it the old P & R reg LDP's I had a headache when I got off that 164, the rattling was DIABOLICAL. I know E200s are bad for it, but this one was worse than what you get on the old 10-year-old ones and that’s really saying something, SE286 I had. The worst bits that rattled were the metal poles that twist when the rear doors open, and the rear doors themselves were bouncing up and down as we went over bumps in the road, it was unbearably loud. And oh my that ZF gearbox, my driver clearly couldn’t control it as falling down stairs was less jerky than that bus I also found the 164 route itself incredibly boring. The 164 and indeed the 163 both have a motley collection of disgracefully awful buses: the horrible tired 07-regs from the 200 appear frequently, the equally horrible Optare Esteem E200 buses, some 61-reg E200s inherited from First, the utterly horrendous (IMO) ZF 65-reg buses and if you’re incredibly incredibly unlucky, the gutless StreetSh**tes from the 219. The absolute collection of buses from hell imo lol, all of them utterly wretched.
