It appears that you can't have a sense of humour on here! I've got a sense of humour like anyone else. When this theme started I thought "Hello what's this?" Was this started by someone after watching the Australian zoo keeper hand rearing the Sumatra Tiger cubs? But when we go from big cats to Mrs Slocombe, I thought "Here we go, what next Brazilian or Hollywood?" If my post has offended you I sincerely apologise.

I am a bit shocked by the toilet humor - Come to expect more from here Think I'm getting old!!!

Well lets bring the conversation to the gutter ... or 'Are you being served' level ... I love a nice cat ... purrrr ... but why ask this on the bus forum! Because this is the off route section and this question was quite far off route

I kid. I kid. I'm wearing a t-shirt with a fine portrait of a cat looking up at the full moon, in fact. I bloody well like cats. As soon as I get my own place - it'll be me and my cat only!

Actually there was a rather famous story of a homeless person and a cat not so long ago in the news. There was even a book about it in the end: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1444737112I like cats, theyre like little fuzzy attention sleepers who occasionaly do hilariously daft or selfish things. Their independance compared to dogs is a plus I reckon - you'd feel guilty about leaving a dog alone all day cos its a pack animal by nature. A cat however would just do its own thing. Dogs smell worse than cats too. Then again cats scratch and bite and willfully disobey you. They are like little people, except hairy and horizontal.

As a kid, I had a cat called TC (after Top Cat, not South Croydon Bus Garage ) who was a long haired tabby I prefer cats to dogs. I think dogs smell worse than cats as @benedict says, cats, like Luis Suarez can scratch, bite and wilfully disobey you

My neighbours cat seems to have adopted me: -
When I go to work she comes for fussing, when I get home she comes for fussing.
When I am watching telly she will jump onto my lap for fussing and then go to sleep.
As I type she is snoring on the spare chair next to the computer.

Cats don't seem to like me as they always run whereas Dogs tend to come over to me.

Another plus thing on cats is that if you have an unwanted mouse with an idea of squeezing through cracks into your gaff the smell of a cat usually deters it away.

I'm not a huge fan of cats to be honest, but I'm not scared of them, which is a different story to dogs, and indeed if there is one thing that I can say I'm petrified about are dogs. The only dogs I think I won't be scared around are guide dogs. On my travels today, one got on my 69 (I must sress, bus route- 17529) I was scared half to death when the dog and owner (and it was a rather large dog) came upstairs and sat a couple rows behind me.
