What utter biased bilge by a company with a vested interest in discrediting the Night Bus service and a "newspaper" (ahem) that is so clueless it can't be bothered to check. I've tweeted the Standard to point out the night bus errors in their regurgitated press rele..... article. They'll be telling us next that taxis never refuse to take passengers, that taxis are as cheap as a night bus, that taxis take PAYG Oyster and that passengers never vomit in cabs or are rude or boistrous. To quote the Thompson Twins "Lies Lies Lies".

Whilst the report is inaccurate it says night time bus routes so i expect they mean "at night" with regards to the 152 etc late night buses. I am sure the 152 is awful, I know the 176 is for a fact. Bromley police get a few calls to deal with drunks kicking off at Penge and Crystal Palace Bus Station refusing to leave the bus. Best one recently was the Polish drunks who are homeless and travel up and down the 176 went they need a sleep.

I guess they mean late night services on most of these routes
There is certainly no N262, N49, N191, N228, N152, N452 need to get there facts right imo before publishing this...

If that's what they meant then why stick a "N" prefix on routes that, yes, run in the late evening but most of which never turn a wheel at 0200? Let's face it the underlying "purpose" of the original press release and videos is to scare people off night buses and into using a specific app / website and taxis. In short it's about making money by scaring the cr*p out of people. Not what I'd call an ethical or responsible attitude to public / passenger safety. The Standard really should know better than to churn out someone else's nonsense. I don't use night buses a lot but I've only seen really boistrous behaviour once - on a N279 - and have never encountered any trouble. So far I've not even had any trouble when pointing a camera and taking night bus photos but I am alert to the fact that I am in a potentially vulnerable position so I am careful. I'm not saying there are not problems - there clearly are but let's keep things in some sort of proportion.

Well the Standard has amended the article - it certainly had them before and the OP would not add "N"s to route numbers for the sake of it. I trust he did a cut and paste from the Standard's article.

262 I'm honestly puzzled with this one. There's nothing to be confused about really. There is no way that this can be deemed to be any sort of robust research. I think Mr GreenKitten had it right when he dug out an old Standard article about the most complained about routes which was almost identical to this "night" bus list. I think Kabbee have FOI'd the most complained about routes from TfL and then employed a research company to trawl Twitter and Facebook for people female doging about those bus routes plus night buses in general. They then did a "survey" of people guaranteed to moan about buses so they can they make some sort of spurious link about how ghastly night buses are by taking complaints data which have do not relate to night buses *at all*. That approach must be riddled with bias if that is what they have done - I'm extrapolating from what was said in the Standard article about the "methodology" employed. Worse they then create stupid videos based on people's horror stories and then portray this as some sort of regular event on night buses. And then the dimbos at the Standard churn it all out as "fact". I'm even wondering if the Standard got a few quid from Kabbee for giving their useless "research" such prominence. I even had to correct my local London Assembly Member via Twitter when she tweeted about how dire the N30 was! This shows how a lack of challenge and checking can result in people believing complete and utter rubbish. If this garbage was an advert rather than a press release then it would be worth referring it to the Advertising Standards Authority because I can't believe what Kabbee have done would pass muster with the ASA.
