Have done the 232 once but it seemed quite busy (just post school end time though). Not sure about regular leadings etc but would have thought this warranted deckers? It was said in this thread that there are low trees in St Raphael’s which stops 232 from using double deckers. tangytango.proboards.com/thread/10370/routes-decked Can't those trees be trimmed?

I meant the fly over bridge that could be the reason as well although if I remember once the 240 was on diversion due to a flood I am sure we went under the fly over bridge on a VPL.

Since the 241 is being cut to custom House it going to be a little pointless except the Balaam street section you can reorute the 473 via Balaam Street then go to North Woolwich. 417 extension to Waterloo is an Great Idea, as nine elms is coming together. I feel like the 304 route would have a small passenger rate especially since it's going DD I get this is the fantasy thread but the 417 extension to Waterloo is a terrible idea - it has reliability problems at times and wouldn’t cope with such an extension. It would be better to have it extended to Clapham Junction to support the 35 & 37 and sort its reliability issues out but neither will happen.

Doesn’t the 611 go under the same bridge?

Streatham hill to Waterloo has the 59, Crown point to Waterloo 468, then 68 (changing anywhere between West Norwood Station and Elephant). Even if it was thought desirable to extend a route from Clapham Common to Waterloo, which is debatable, there's a slightly better choice to be made!

Indeed - even from Palace, take a 432 to West Norwood and there's the 68 to Waterloo as well

I'd eliminate the time-consuming trundle around Arnos Grove Station and New Southgate Station (leave that to the 232) and keep it on the North Circular. Maybe have a stop at the junction with Bounds Green Road. At Stonebridge Park i would keep it to the Harrow Road junction slip roads rather than take the time-consuming diversion via the Station.

As it is end of year, my silly fantasy prediction is
RATP cut a deal with TfL to reduce the frequency of route 18 by using new E400XLB (as used by Lothian) and redistribute the VHs so fewer SPs need upgrading

165 can be rerouted via Orchard village to rainham make it 24 hours with DD and 252 extended to Havering Park 365 to withdrawn makes sense it's a pointless empty route and 258 go via queen's Hospital 258 goes nowhere near Queens Hospital? ? It ain’t as pointless as you may think, provides relief for the 165 and 372. Only thing I agree is the re-routing of the 165 but only during the night though. I would create a new route the N165 and withdraw the night element of the 365. Rainham, Abbey Wood Lane to Havering Park The N165 towards Rainham would get diverted via Stanley Road South and follow the 365 until South Street. It would then follow the 287 to Rainham, Abbey Wood Lane. Towards Havering Park it would be withdrawn between Romford, The Brewery and Romford Market and go via the day route of the 365. This is to allow for Rainham to finally have a 24 hour bus (funny how there’s a 24 hour Tesco’s but no 24 hour bus service eh?) whilst retaining most of the 365s links. The only problem is the Queens Hospital part which has no 24 hour buses anymore towards Hornchurch which can be solved by withdrawing the N86 between Romford Station and Harold Hill, then extending it to Upminster via the 365 and 248. 174 can be made into a 24 hour as a result of the loss of a night link between Harold Hill to Romford Station with a bonus of a full week 24 hours in Dagenham.
