Why would there be a link for anywhere? Who needs to go anywhere let’s just stay where we are? Unless there’s an consultation how do we know that the link is not needed? We are just guessing that the links are not needed. I'm hardly guessing, I live in the area! I know there is little around Mill Hill East for it to be worth having yet another link (bearing in mind the 221/240/382 provide adequate links for anyone in the area). Also the usual reason for a link is actually to be useful, such as linking an area with lots of businesses to an area that has a fairly large population density, e.g. the 113 is useful in linking Edgware (Which has a small shopping centre aka the broadwalk as well as a fairly large population) and London (Which of course contains all the businesses). So there is no need for sarcastic remarks such as "Who needs to go anywhere" In fairness I agree with your overall point, you are a local so of course you’ll most likely have an idea of the beneficial links. Only problem is that this is the fantasy thread, you can create all kinds of wacky or ridiculous links.

I know, but I see this kind of thing in the other thread as well, initially I was just sharing opinion on the 340 idea.

Fantasy threads may become reality in these crazy times... "Still going strong, Wood Green's DW294 spotted out on the Crossrail Replacement route CR2after yet more computer problems with the Bombardier trains now the line is open Upgraded to Euro7, the bus is seen in the warm sunshine after Amazon takeover from DB completed in autumn 2019."

To link Hammersmith with Kingston. In my view people want as little change as possible, just about the whole London bus network would be changed with these ideas you come up with which I'm not sure if that's a good idea. Why not just extend the 209 to Hammersmith via fulham palace road instead of extending the 218 which would be very long.

What’s bothering me recently is the amount of fresh air buses around the London borough of Havering which inter affects other places since it’s overbussed as well.
252 should be extended to Havering park via clockhouse avenue and axe the 365 as it never have heavy loadings.
252 could reroute Via Queens Hospital
165 converted to DD operation at a reduced frequency of 15 minutes during weekdays and rerouted via orchard village both ways or extend 175 to orchard village
372 remain the same
346 extended to Harold Wood Opening up new links every 15 minutes or a possible merge with 497
347 could be withdrawn because of the 346 extension

It is also just worth adding that proposals that involve extending the 346 and changing the 347 have been investigated by TfL. There is a document online about this. Those plans were dismissed with the 497 being the preferred option. There was an outcry from users about plans to change / shorten the 347. Not a lot of point of raking over stuff that's been looked at, analysed and conclusions reached. At least we are getting the 497 later this year.

These are just old routes rehashed nothing new about them. The fact is more people in Central L8ndon use tube its quick and convenient. We dont need a bus from Livberpool Street to Oxford Circus or Hammersmith to Victoria direct. Why is there no day route from Ealing to Central London? Because people use the tube or National Rail. So all these fantasy routes are just that -fantasy
