Yeah with all stops to Aldgate then first set down at Canning Town If this were to happen, I'd think that the route would use Lower Thames Street/Victoria Embankment skipping the traffic in the City of London Victoria Embankment isn't great for congestion either since its been narrowed to facilliate the cycle superhighway along there, but it probably is faster than going through the city. I think an X15 should begin at Oxford Circus though (but then I think that about the 15 too)

Here's an idea I've had for the 391 (please note that under this proposal the 27 would still go to Chisiwck Business Park) 391 altered to run Acton High Street-Richmond, to link Acton with Richmond. Via existing line of route to Chiswick Roundabout then, Chiswick High Road, Oxford Road North, Wellesley Road, Sutton Lane North (Town Hall Avenue rev.), Acton Lane, South Parade, Beaconsfield Road, Acton Lane, High Street, Horn Lane, returning to Acton High St via Steyne Road.

The N86 does just fine, in fact it goes beyond the 86 day service so it would make sense to keep things the same. Also there is no need for the EL2 to be extended to Romford. There are already multiple buses that do that from Becontree Heath. Also it would make the route extremely long and unreliable as there is often lots of traffic in and around Romford.

Does anyone agree that if a route is introduced or extended then that route should serve roads not served by official TFL services instead of just following another route. Of course the down side on serving roads that are not served by buses is the cost of installing bus stops.

No, it is entirely dependent on what the route is for. Serving not currently served roads just for the sake of it is silly.

The 174 will be a replacement between Romford and HH. It also gives Dagenham a night service. The N86 should be re-routed elsewhere, maybe Upminster via 248 or 370 or the 86 could be the same day and night.
