I have a fantasy route, a massive circular route ploughing through outer London. I’d number it the 500. As this is the fantasy thread I’ll ignore the fact my route would be restricted to SD operation due to the Blackwall Tunnel (as it runs via the 208) Ealing Broadway - Brent Cross via the 112, Brent Cross - Edmonton Green bus Station via the 102 Edmonton Green bus station - Angel Corner via 259/349 Angel Corner - Walthamstow Central bus station via 34 Walthamstow Central bus station - Stratford City bus station via 97, Stratford City bus station - Lewisham Station via 108, Lewisham Station - New Cross Gate via 21, New Cross Gate - Peckham via 177, Peckham - Wandsworth Town Hall via 37, Wandsworth Town Hall - Richmond via 337 Richmond - Ealing Broadway via 65. I think if any operator would be able to run it to any sort of headway at all then it’d be unbelievable, or even be able to schedule a rounder that’s less than a day lol. Seeing as the route is a circular, buses would never actually need to turn around. Therefore an option might be to run the clockwise service with deckers (as that direction the tunnel bore can take them) and run the anti-clockwise loop with single deckers.

I’d extend the 108 to Lower Sydenham, it’s old terminal, it would take the pressure off the 75 & 181 routes as they’re always very busy on the Lewisham to Lower Sydenham section If the 129 does get extended to Lewisham then I'd simply just extend the 129 further to Lower Sydenham instead as the 129 doesn't have to deal with Blackwall Tunnel unlike the 108 and is already a double decker route so it will be more effective of relieving the 75 & 181 than extending a already busy single decker 108.

This is a big fantasy but
Route 25 and 86 merged into a big new East London trunk routes:
10: Romford to Aldgate (Via routes 86 and 25)
N10: Harold Hill,Dagnam Park Sq to Oxford Circus (via N86 and N25)
Between Aldgate and City Thameslink, i'd extend the 115 to Oxford Circus further. A PVR of 18-22 along Oxford Street East should not matter when the 25 use to be around 37..
Routes 25/N25, 86/N86 withdrawn.
Also at Aldgate Bus Station, space wise, think the 242/254 moved to stand at Houndstich (the 343 doesnt) then there would be space even with the 115 out.
Id think the 242 would be a good route to send to Fenchurch Street but the whole extra routing and the similarity to route 149....
What if the 42 was extended to Shoreditch and the 78 rerouted at Aldgate to London Bridge via the ex-40 routing?
They seem very useful to me, but length wise never happen.

This one requires camping equipment in order to do it end to end. And tons of food and drinks! And of course ... toilets!

New FANTASY route ideas: 374: Dagenham CEME - Purfleet via Dagenham CEME Beam Park Station (National Rail) Rainham, Tesco Rainham Station (National Rail) Wennington Purfleet Industrial Park Purfleet Station (National Rail) These are feasible ideas so they're certainly not fantasies. I like your 374 idea in particular, it's actually similar to one of my ideas I proposed a while back, a new route between Romford and Purfleet via Upminster and Aveley

Fantasy new route
Route 48: Canary Wharf to Snaresbrook Single decker
Starts from Bank street - upper bank street - south colonnade - Cabot square - north colonnade - upper bank street - aspen way (heading west) - west India dock road - east India dock road - Chrisp street - Cordelia street - upper north street - bow common lane - devons road - Campbell road - Bow Road - high street - cooks road - barbers road - marshgate lane (heading north) - turn right onto carpenters road at junction With white post lane - pool street - Montfichet road - Stratford city bus station - Stratford international - international way - Westfield Avenue - Olympic park avenue - Abercrombie road - temple mills lane - ruckholt road - orient way - lea bridge road - church road (A1006) - high road Leyton - fletcher lane - Leigh road - lyndhurst drive - James lane (return via Essex road south and forest drive west) - James lane - hospital road (for whipps cross hospital) - whipps cross road - lea bridge road - Snaresbrook road - holly bush hill - high street - Snaresbrook station
Not sure about bus stand yet at Snaresbrook but hopefully a place can be found for a bus or two
Does offer a few new links, provide support to the 339, 108 etc and goes down a bunch of roads not served currently. Also provided a bus connection to pudding mill lane and Canary Wharf crossrail should it ever open. It can be also sent through wood Wharf given the huge number of developments there (Churchill way - harbour quay - Prestons road - Blackwall roundabout - aspen way westbound and then back to what I suggested above
Although for me the sole reason why I came up with this was to use the contra flow lane near bow flyover (there’s a contra flow lane adjacent to the eastbound lane towards Stratford)

I'd like it for a more direct link to Turnham Green and a bus route to Hammersmith as whilst I like the H91 this route would mean less walking for me.

New Route
Shepherd's Bush Green Wood Lane White City Station Scrubs Lane Harrow Road Harlesden Clock Tower Craven Park Harrow Road Stonebridge Park Wembley High Road Wembley Central Station
Basically a mix of the 18 and 220 as way of linking Wembley to Shepherd's Bush, would support both routes, perhaps allowing for half the 220 to terminate at Shepherd's Bush at the northern end so that the service can improve at the southern end where the route is very busy and is battling with terrible congestion.

What about a express route via those area's?

What about a express route via those area's? I'm a huge fan of radial express routes and I think we need far more of them. A flaw in the route I proposed is that it would be faster to get the Overgrown changing at Willesden Junction.
