The 169 has to reverse at the Barking, London Road stand. Most of the Bays at Ilford, Hainault Street require buses to reverse as well

Ive seen Metrobus 539 try to turn from Purley Way into Waddon Road but a Seat Ibiza had pulled too close to the traffic light and it had to reverse to get down Waddon Road

Terminating buses at Kingston Cromwell Road bus station (e.g. 411, 465) have to reverse to leave stand. Same goes for Slough (route 81) - it picks up passengers at the stand then has to reverse out before leaving the bus station.

At Aldgate Bus Station buses have to reverse, though not all of them. Only the ones that park on the East side (if you've seen the station you'll know what I mean).
Also, these weren't at bus stations or stands but I once saw a 276 N/B having to reverse at Tredegar Rd bus stop in Old Ford because it had stopped too close to the car in front. I'm sure this has happened more than once though, because of the parked cars buses rarely get parallel with the pavement and often half the bus is sticking out. It can be easy to misjudge it. Also once when I was on a 388, somewhere on Cambridge Heath Road N/B / E/B the driver stopped really close to the 254 in front which was changing drivers but instead of waiting the 388 driver just reversed a bit then pulled out. I though buses weren't allowed to reverse with passengers inside? Or is that just a myth?

Drivers can reverse you know A lot of drivers reverse mostly when something like the leader infront won't move for some time, that's went drivers overtake 'em......

The Citi7 bus route in Cambridge was a route where you had to reverse in a 12m bus over a mini roundabout to turn around. It's definitely a myth regarding reversing with passengers on board.

In Peckham Bus Station all buses reverse into their standing spaces. As Lewisham Bus Station was, you had to reverse into some of the spaces (not been since modernisation).

I was once on a bus that did a three-point turn with passengers on board. Northcote Road was closed for some kind of street party, so presumably drivers must have been warned as it was known well in advance though there were the usual yellow diversion signs up anyway. But the driver on a 319 went that way anyway and had to use the help of a local to reverse into a cul-de-sac to turn round and go back.

Thats what i thought, after seeing a video called the Peckham Terminator on Youtube. Gave me a bad impression of the people there. Although its unsafe, i still would like to go to Peckham Bus Station.
