Depends what you class as ‘Acton’ really lol, it’s a big place having North, East, West, South and Central Acton stations lol. If you class the 7 running to East Acton as ‘Acton’ then I guess you can class that one too Don't forget Acton Town and Acton Main Line Stations Acton is very spoilt for stations lol

Six new bus routes start tomorrow. (218, 278, 306, X140, N140, N266)
When was the last time that happened?

Two of them are in name only though I guess. N140 and N266 are exactly the same as two routes already in existence so nothing new, just with an N added to avoid confusion. Same with the T33/433 which I wouldn’t class as a new route. Depends which way you look at it I guess

Off the top of my head, so don't take as gospel, I'd say one would have been 1952 when the tram replacement bus routes came in i.e. 70,109,155,177, 182, 184. How about the Red Arrow routes? Dis they come in on masse? Please discuss, no conferring

I can't recall if the 333, 360, 476, N76 and N133 may have started on the same day in 2003.

Please discuss, no conferring Leaving aside the pioneering 500, the first lot of Red Arrow routes (501-507) was introduced as part of Reshaping on 07.09.68, at the same time as the Wood Green area flat-fare routes (W1-6). Although it's slightly spoiled by the fact that not all of the routes involved had a Saturday service, so some of them actually started on the Monday (09.09.68). Not sure if any other schemes started at the same time.
Subsequently there were other local schemes that saw several new routes introduced in one go, e.g. Roundabout at Orpington in 1986, or the Harrow Buses routes H11-H15 in 1987. Can't think of anything more recent that involves six routes though.

How many new routes were created in 1992 when a number of central London routes were split?

I’d say that was a bigger one then, don’t know about anyone else but I don’t class the N266 and N140 as ‘new’ routes Gonna be an incredibly busy day tomorrow with enthusiasts going far and wide to photograph all the new routes!

I wonder how much frantic bell ringing there will be on the X140 in the first few days. Will take passengers time to adjust to a new express route.
