Apparently whole Jubilee line is closed due to power failure Must be something very serious for it to be off as long as this. I wonder if the power to the signalling and control system has gone rather than traction current. I'd have expected the Met to be affected if traction current had been lost. TfL are now tweeting about special arrangements on the DLR with Canary Wharf entry only and Heron Quays exit only for the evening peak.

I did need to go to Thamesmead earlier so ended up on the DLR to Woolwich, traction current was certainly on as a train parked in the West Ham platform had all its DMIs on and interior lights on then a short while later I saw a 1996 stock heading at usual speed from Canning Town towards West Ham, presumably to the depot.

The Met line was running fine when I passed on a Chiltern sevice into Marylebone earlier this afternoon. I do agree with you and suspect there was either a total loss of power or Total loss of signalling at the Control centre.

I have been on Central, District and Hammersmith & City Lines and none of them have the Paddington to Heathrow branch of the TfL Rail on there maps. Given there are literally thousands of car line diagrams on the trains on those lines it is not a quick job to oversticker one or two (depending on the map) points on those diagrams. It can take weeks and, in essence, the maps aren't exactly wrong given they will still have the NR double arrow symbol at Paddington and Ealing Broadway and TfL Rail, despite TfL's efforts, is still a National Rail service. I would actually not be shocked if TfL don't make any changes now but wait instead for the huge switchover that will be required come December to reflect the Elizabeth Line services. Makes much more sense to do an intensive "once off" change to show the Elizabeth Line interchanges on the car line diagrams (and all the audio / video displays on the trains) then. It's an enormous job that will take a long time to implement and will cost a lot of money. Almost every line is affected to some degree with the exception of the Piccadilly and Victoria lines as they don't have direct interchange with Crossrail. The only exception is if TfL decide to advertise an out of station interchange at Oxford Circus / Hanover Square between the Vic Line and Crossrail. Don't forget there are thousands of fixed signs, tube maps, cross track line diagrams and other things that also all have to be changed. Some signs are being done now and are covered over but others will take time.

Just to add as I never saw it in the article but London Underground were in full support of him stopping his train to unveil his green flag which I think is absolutely superb

Used the jubilee line today morning - there was a 6 minute gap in service at Canary Wharf westbound. At 08:30 am. Luckily I got into the one before that gap - but a 6 minute gap is huge, that too bang in the middle of rush hour

Nice to see the plans for step free access on the eastern end of the central line A small shame some of the posters are littered with spelling/ typing errors
