Was travelling on the JLE section of the Jubilee Line earlier and it just occurred to me that the fast section in the tunnels reminds me a bit of the travel tube used on the moon in the sci-fi show Space 1999 (1974-76). Funnily enough that section of the Jubilee line had opened in 1999 as well. youtu.be/WGw3Pq6N4ks

Quite an interesting situation on the District and Hammersmith & City this weekend, the whole District is pretty much closed west of Aldgate East and an Upminster to Hammersmith via King's Cross service has been implemented.
Westbound these seem to be running as District Line services until Barking where they morph into Hammersmith & City Line services and continue until Hammersmith. On the return they seem to be running as H&C services to Aldgate East and then morphing into District Line services, however half of them seem to be terminating at Barking and these ones remain as H&C ones. By the looks of it District line drivers seem to swap between the H&C drivers at Barking.

A Bakerloo Line train to E&C departed from Platform 1 of Harrow & Wealdstone during the evening rush hour. Not sure why as I arrived when most passengers had already boarded the train (although a few were still waiting on Platform 2) thus missing any announcements that may have occurred.

Surprised there’s no thread on the whole Metropolitan line issues this week, but this evening was my first time using the line. My train in to central terminated early at Wembley Park, despite staff at Harrow assuring passengers it was headed for Baker St. Then on the way home, the second-last NB service (which is the last train beyond Wembley Park) never showed up. The very last NB service ran as normal though and terminated at Wembley (which it’s meant to). There were a lot of passengers waiting on the platform there, with many complaining to a staff member on platform about the disappearance of the Uxbridge train. Sadly he confirmed after a few minutes that there were no more metline trains running NB tonight.

Metropolitan Line train first heading to Chesham but then at Harrow-on-the-Hill without a driver announcement we hear 'This is a fast Metropolitan Line train to Rickmansworth.' Train then went Semi Fast back to Baker Street. (Originally it was supposed to be an all stations train back to Baker Street.)
