I agree, I generally prefer the sound of the older gen Enviros, especially for the noise emitted through their exhausts when accelerating rapidly. I also like the random engine revving as well, like dirt bikes trying to climb steep inclines. The MMCs revv more like the euro5 E40Hs. I know what you mean, that's why I enjoy the ride up Dulwich Wood Park on the Euro6s when they pop up on the 3

By that I assume you mean the Volvo B5LH's with MMC bodies then entry into service on the 135 from the 23rd May. Oh, forgot to add that's seven days before Stagecoach's batch for the 177 are due to enter service. Was mentioned in the Stagecoach thread that the 177s Volvos are due Early spring, the order was placed shortly before Go Ahead placed there one, so may well arrive before the SI batch.

When weren't they boring? Let me rephrase, Euro 5 E40Hs are boring . To be fair they have a great sound and pace, I've always liked them for that. They're also very quiet inside like the Gemini 2s, I always find myself nodding off in one! . The Abellio livery suits it best, they look somewhat sleeker than other operator variants.

To be fair they have a great sound and pace I agree they have great pace I always find myself nodding off in one! Maybe because they are so boring The Abellio livery suits it best, they look somewhat sleeker than other operator variants I disagree, I think metrolines examples look the best, followed by Go Aheads.

I always find myself nodding off in one! Maybe because they are so boring But that's a good thing about them! , they are quiet inside because they have a solid build. Regarding the sound I can only describe it as a quiet jet with a distinctive whine which increases in pitch when floored. I still prefer the Euro6s though.

The first three Metroline MMC's have been delivered to CELF, TEH2074, 2075 and 2077. Unusually they had there registration plates visible which showed they are going to be 15 plate, so wont be entering service until March at the earliest.

ADL don't cover up plates normally, they're most often delivered registered or unregistered, the only buses I know of that ADL have delivered covered up were the 109s MMCs.

The Metroline MMCs sure look grand, would be interesting if they actually did do a few rounders on the 112.
