I can't remember offhand whether the bus stand for Tooting, The Mitre is still there. Was meant to check when i first saw this thread.

There is a stand on Manse Road in Stoke Newington that I've not seen used in recent times. Looks long enough to take two bendies, was this ever for 149 curtailments or overspill for the 73?

There's an image on Google Map dated 'Sept 2014' showing PVL378 on the 44 at a stand in Longley Rd. The 'Mitre' still stands but seems to be a take away of some description

There is still a stand I believe in Aberfeldy Street for when route 309 terminated there back in 1990s Yes, plus one in Augusta street, Poplar that I've never seen used. I don't even know what the blind would say for a curtailment - POPLAR Augusta Street?

There is a stand on the right side of Kew Green which I have never ever seen used by a bus and I have lived in Kew for 14 and a half years. What is it for? Could it be the 65 or the 391 or even maybe a short extension for the R68?

Mattock Lane in Ealing ( West Ealing end). Came across it and I've never noticed it before.

Could it be the 65 or the 391 or even maybe a short extension for the R68? I originally wondered if it might have been for the long lost 272 extension to Strand on the Green but checking a map and other sources shows that a daft idea. Therefore it must be for the 65 / 391 but I suspect there's a reluctance to tip people out at Kew Green. While searching I came across this set of Chiswick area bus service change proposals. It has several ideas on it that I've never come across like splitting the E3 in half because clearly Chiswick residents are terrified of double decker buses and all their perversions being seen by passengers.

There's a stand in the Fieldway estate in New Addington, just past the Foxcoombe stop which has always bothered me as it has literally never been used as far as I'm aware and has always had cars parked there

I'd wondered about that stand - sufficiently so in fact that I looked up the 130 route record to see if there were any turns between the AVI and Parkway. Struck me as odd that there were not - could be quite useful. Of course it would require somewhat more detailed destination blinds but maybe that's another debate for another time....
