I'd have to pick one of the E- KYN batch of Scania N112/ East Lancashire Grey Green used on the 179 (and later) 275. They were absolutely gorgeous buses, were good comfortable vehicles with a very distinct smell to them. Those F Reg Volvo Citybus Alexander RV had the smell too - I remember the horrid yellowish brown seating.

Someone - can't think who! - has too much time on their hands. Being between IT contracts can do that to you... I wanted to add VE1468, Brentford's unique Enviro-bodied VDL SB200 to the bucket list too

I know that this is old thread but I need to update on what I would like to preserve if I had money:
DP1010, TA655, VE9, VP628, SLE40644, VW1560, VLP19, TLA19 and TA220.

See I'm shocked no one has said any of Stagecoach 's old Volvo Olympians!!!! VN1 would be my first choice or VN25, no idea why that one.....
Would love to get 17398 (driving test bus) but think that already has future plans now. Other than that, one of Capital Citybus' old Dennis Dominators.

One of the Northern Counties bodied H-reg ones definitely- never really liked the F-PTP ones. When I worked on Rail Replacements at Citybus, one of the older drivers would always bring a H-reg out with him on late shifts, always put "B0B" on the TRN on the side. I've got a shipping list of ex-Citybus vehicles should I become unexpectedly rich overnight that includes one of the NC bodied B6s from the 396, J-YRM (Leyland and NC bodied) Olympians, P-MPU reg Volvo from the 91 and K888 Olympian

Used to love the odd working of one of them on the 296 every so often in Harold Hill. For me though the H-reg Dominators, although never my favourite bus, always had that mystique of being a very unique bus in this part of London. For that they need preserving

Only rode a couple of ex Stagecoach London Olympians given Brixton never saw the type . However, without even thinking, I'd preserve either a P or R LGH reg NV - loved my rides on the 35, 45 & 133 Any Stagecoach V MEV Trident gets the nod - the louder the better
