Looking at the news and Twitter it seems to have been a dreadful day for crashes and accidents
- crash in Richmond - bus killed a man near Ealing Hospital - bus killed a woman at Shepherds Bush by Westfield - a crash on Hoe St in Walthamstow. Car drove into a motorbike - looks like the car was turning into a narrow side turning and whacked the bike as it passed. - an incident at Millbank where it's not yet clear what happened - a jogger killed on Putney Bridge. - a cyclist knocked down by a bus in Wood Green
Dire news. I can't recall a day quite as bad as this.

Only recently LBC were doing a session on whether new bus drivers get enough training prior to being put out on the road (not insinuating who's to blame on the above incidences as I have not even yet read up on the tragedies). Condolences to all affected by their losses.

Millbank: A collision between two cyclists and around 20 minutes later a cyclist involved in a collision with two other pedestrians along the same road.

Wonder how long it will be before the 'anti-bus' establishment crawls out of the woodwork spouting that buses are the most dangerous thing ever!!!

I can't recall a day quite as bad as this. I'm shocked but not too surprised at the amount of incidents that happened over the past two days obviously because of the weather. The weather is great but it makes people careless. The amount of pedestrians that ran out in front of me while on the S4 yesterday including the one outside Sutton Station, the old lady at Royal Marsden Hospital who stepped out in front. Yes, the speed limit is only 10mph but it doesn't mean I can't hit you Even a dog decided it wanted to run head first towards my bus causing me to do an emergency stop, just next to the bus stop at the Mitcham Tram stop (I was running light from the garage to St Helier). If I wasn't so surprised at the amount of passengers waiting at that stop, I wouldn't have seen the dog just trotting past all of them before casually stepping out on to the road. Silly creature Obviously, I don't know the cause of these incidents so its wrong to assume anything but the reports say that the bus drivers that were involved in those fatalities were not arrested or is that the normal procedure?

The weather has turned everyone into sunned zombies. I watched a motorbike hit a lady who stepped out into Euston Road yesterday afternoon without paying attention. Fortunately she didn't appear too injured, and being virtually outside UCH a passing private ambulance was on the scene within 90 seconds and making arrangements to get her over the road.

I always say when it's gets very hot that people's brains begin to fry and they make all sorts of strange and stupid decisions. Thankfully, I'm stupid all the time so it doesn't affect me lol.

Very sad to hear of all these events and the deaths involved. While on the 294 yesterday, a driver not paying attention almost caused an accident with a 294 I was on.
