A consultation of extending routes 639 and 670 to Roehampton Danebury Avenue following the reallocation of St John Bosco College to Surrey Lane near Battersea Park and Imperial Wharf, routes would run as existing then via Putney Heath, Medifled Street to Danebury Avenue. On the other side the routes would be extended via Falcon Road, Battersea Park Road and navigate to the new site of St John Bosco College. Consultation link

Consultation linkWell that seems an eminently sensible proposal given the stated desire to get school kids of the single deck operated 39 and 170. I was living in hope that we might get the rumoured 424 / 485 consultation but not yet.

Might sound silly to most, but I would make the 639/670 run daily as the new 239.

You could so something like Roehampton - Putney Heath - Tibbets Corner - Southfields - Wandsworth - Clapham Junction - Battersea Park Rd - Nine Elms - Vauxhall. Could be diverted via the redeveloped Nine Elms in due course. Gives some new links and adds capacity and gives a quick Roehampton - Southfields link for the District Line. Wouldn't be a cheap route to start but if Roehampton bus capacity is as bad as alleged then it'd probably be worth doing. I recognise there is a bit of an overlap with the 493.

I would have it terminate at the Power Station instead of going onto Vauxhall, bulk up the 156 instead. The 493 needs the extra capacity, it struggles just like the 39 and 170 too.

The problem with that is you miss out the hub that is Vauxhall otherwise I think you & 'snoggle' are onto something. I also agree with you in regards to the 39, 170 & 493 struggling.

The 639 and 670 are running empty until the school moves, so if you want a quiet and quick journey on a WVL or EH, do it now! Should be extended on Friday.

'Falcon Road/ Grant Road', 'Battersea High Street' and 'Bullen Street', as of today have had the 639 and 670 added, also, new 24hour tiles for the 344 and 345. FRoad & BStreet have new tiles for all routes.
I think an extra bus on each route would be ideal for the heavy loadings the 39 and 170 face eastbound in the mornings.

iBus has been updated on 639/670 according to LVF, with "Roehampton" (on real time journey). Title still reads between St John Bosco College and Clapham Junction.

Both these routes were due tender results last month. I guess finishing the consultation means they can now be awarded.

As mentioned these changes have taken place. The consultation report including issues raised, was released on 2nd October. - quote from the 639 and 670 consultation page Consultation page It would be nice if decisions on consultations could be made before the changes happen or are planned to happen. Another page that hasn't been updated is the 153.
