You'll be surprised - the Romford Running Day was a good example where ordinary people (in other words, non bus enthusiasts) were purposely letting the usual buses go to ride a Routemaster, Regent, Metrobus or Titan. Don't get me wrong I'm not denying the significance of the Routemaster (and other heritage buses) amongst the public, my problem lies more with the route 15H itself. The 15H is special however I don't think it's significant, maybe that's due to; lack of publicity; the routing of the route; the poor service; or it being the only route with the Routemaster. I'm probably being quite naive, having travelled on the route myself several times . Fair enough, I see your point here. Sorry if it sounded like I was having a go as it wasn't my intention - I just wanted to make that point lol.

Probably the best place to put this, but according to the Hants and Dorset Trim Twitter feed, RM2060 is almost ready to come back to London after its refurbishment (or, perhaps I should say, defurbishment!) Looks very good, though perhaps a shame that the hopper windows are staying put, and I would have also had shot of the advert frames. Nonetheless, a fine effort.

Looks weird on the photos.

I don't usually go into "is that authentic?" mode about vehicles but slightly confuddled by the use of LED lights on that "defurbed" (yuk) RM. Looks weird on the photos. I'm guessing it is so the lights meet modern lighting conditions and give the rear a authentic look without having to resort to the unsightly rear light's fitted at it's last refurbishment. Ensignbus have certainly used the same trick on some of there restorations as well.
