Yes it is. I had read elsewhere that a E500 was at Harlow and rumoured to be going to Berlin but the USA style bumpers had caused some confusion. If ADL were to win orders in Berlin they could get themselves a potentially very big share of business. I wonder if it has two staircases as is the norm for Berlin's buses? I love the way Google Translate translates the German for double decker as "bi-plane".

Interesting that the bus didn't have authority to carry any passengers today and that it also needs a dispensation for being "too tall". There is also an issue about the outswing at the rear due to the length of the bus - apparently it needs an attendant! Nice to see the German approval authorities are as nasty for buses as they are for trains. ADL have said they can build a two staircase, three door version if necessary.

Having rode an Enviro 500 in Dublin Bus, it is a really lovely vehicle to ride so good to see more orders for it in another country.
