I think it is down to demand levels being such that single door buses don't work terribly well on certain routes. Obviously there is a bit of a trade off between lower deck capacity and getting people on and off in a reasonable time.

Is this ready for service? The reason I ask is that older B&H DDs had names, after famous residents of Brighton, usually on the front below the lower windows. This photo doesn't show one. Is it something B&H have now ceased to do? See blow for what I mean (Not my photo) Attachment Deleted
