We are working towards a date of 1st October now, we have some route test tomorrow. That seems more achieveable to me - all that cabling work to do, ceilings to fit and other stuff you can see in the photos. The more difficult bit is actually testing everything and doing the snagging so there's a proper process to bring the place into service and deal with what I suspect is a long list of (commercial) issues with the contractors.

Having walked past the bus station today I'm sceptical it will be ready on the 1st Oct - still lots of underwiring, electrics, pipework and work on the actual structure to do as well as tarmacing and moving the furniture in.
In other news noted 9759 parked in the station blinded fully for the C3 but A4 signs saying meal relief bus.

Yes the bus is for meal reliefs until we get facilities open. I am hearing the date may have changed, no doubt will find out when back at work.

Having walked past today, there does not look like there is much to do apart from a few minor things and then a massive clear up operation. Can see toilets being fitted and the passenger info hut is now in position. Minimal furniture left to put in and most of the surfacing seems done.

Saturday looks promising, final small touches today such as the e-tiles going up and CCTV cameras. Didn't notice any countdown screens.

Seen a post on the S*** London Facebook Group where someone has compared the Bus Station to John Wayne designing it. (Western comparison)

(Western comparison) As you mentioned John Wayne and S*** I couldn't help but think of this. Quite possibly one of the most bizarre pop hits ever. And now, pop pickers, we return to the delights of West Croydon's bus station.

Seen a post on the S*** London Facebook Group where someone has compared the Bus Station to John Wayne designing it. (Western comparison) From what I've seen of it from the top deck of a bus, it looks so awkward looking and really belongs in a village somewhere else in England rather than in a large town striking a commercial look. The old one looked more in place as well as having a proper shelter.
