Looks like concept bus 'A' (red interior) is a three-door. two staircase Enviro500 MMC. Some routes could be beneficiary of these buses instead of LTs *cough* 25 *cough* Would make the bus scene more interesting if the UK bought some Lion City DDs, they look rather nice in my opinion I have to say, the interiors of both buses look smart, would have to go with bus A as a winner in my view. Not too sure about the neon green paint scheme though...

Not too sure about the neon green paint scheme though... I must be bl**dy dim. I've looked at those photos several times and had assumed they were all of bus "B". However when I first drafted the original post and only had a tweet to go on I had written Enviro 500MMC because of the curved screen edging at the front. I then saw the MAN bus in the Straits Times and assumed the photos were all of the same bus. Duh! Interesting that ADL have got full air con into a 500MMC with three doors. That's some feat. EDIT - there are some videos via this Channel News Asia feature

I agree, bus A would also be my preferred choice over bus B irrespective of bus type and chassis - the MAN Lion City has the edge in that category. Regarding their interiors, E500 MMC appears more modern and sleek, I also like the more subtle and 'cool' colour scheme used in the interior as opposed to the warmer and brighter tone of the Lion City's interior, this is also highlighted by the matching blue LED lights of the former. It would be great to have such refinement in London's buses too, but Tri-Axles have got to be a priority in London's wish list of buses before such luxury is even considered

In London where we live it takes so long to make an consultation and make an decision. Look how long it takes to build another bridge on the Thames

Some more photos (not mine obviously) from Singapore including LT665 running around plus one or two more shots of the E500 and MAN A95 "new concept" double deckers. The E500 looks really long with the second staircase / third door. www.flickr.com/photos/singaporebus/

I did notice some of the double deckers have a central barrier at the front door. I assume that is to allow two boarding channels as I think those buses have two sets of smartcard readers - one by the driver and one by what is probably a luggage rack. I haven't been on one of those new Volvo deckers. I can't really recall what the set up was like on the Olympians I've used - it's been a fair few years since I was last there. The low floor single deckers (Citaros, Scanias) that I have used in SG didn't have front entrance obstructions.
