Unless you live in or are visiting someone in Gravel Hill Close, you are most unlikely to ever go there. Let's rename the stop Hall Place, a known and well visited tourist attraction and be done with it! (for non locals, the stop at the southern extremity of Gravel Hill near the Black Prince interchange on the A2, served by 132, 229, 492, B12)

It does amuse me that there is a Hail and Ride 'bus stop' named Knockholt War Memorial when the church or primary school would seem to be better ideas for the stop name. Indeed, until the Hail and Ride stop names were uploaded and started to be used by iBus, I had no idea Knockholt even HAD a war memorial!

I remember suggesting to TfL that the Walthamstow Police Station stop on Forest Road be renamed as it had been closed for a long time. Gave them some sensible suggestions like 'Old Police Station', 'Forest Road Medical Centre', 'Greenleaf Road', 'Greenleaf Primary School'. But no, they chose Wolsey Avenue, which does not help anybody really or is a major road or landmark. Similarly, down the road they renamed a bus stop St Johns Road when there were far better options.

They renamed the first Seven Sisters Station stop to "College of North East London" even though the college is next door to the Tottenham Town Hall, and some distance away from Seven Sisters Tesco, which would have sufficed... iBus is not so up to date and can get addled trying to say the old name and the new when approaching Tottenham Town Hall / College of North East London

I don't get why TfL have a habit of this. About 8 months ago the "Goodmayes Lane" bus stop in Barking was renamed to "St Thomas More Catholic Church". Goodmayes Lane was a very well known road so why they had to rename it was completely beyond me. It also gave passengers an idea of where the 387 (now EL3) would split off from the 5, 145 and EL2. On the same road further down, the "Fanshawe Avenue" bus stop was renamed to "Park Avenue", another example of a well known road being replaced by a side road which people are unlikely to know even exists . "Ripple Road" on the 62 was renamed to "Meadow Road" , "Green Lane" on the 364 and 368 was renamed "Tulasi Medical Centre" and "Becontree Avenue" on the 364 and 368 was renamed "Haydon Road". I wonder who at TfL decides to authorise these sorts of changes.

I did the same thing nearly two years ago for quite a few stops in the Battersea area, so far four have since been updated: Battersea Bridge / Hester Road > Battersea Bridge, Battersea Police Station > Ethelburga Street and most recently, Falcon Road / Grant Road and Grant Road bus stops have both been renamed to Clapham Junction Station / Falcon Road. Applicable for southbound buses but not so for the northbound lot, now the 49 319 344 345 639 670 N19 N31 serve two consecutive stops with the exact same name, great stuff .

Wow, that's a lot of name changes - I actually don't think any around Brixton have had their name changed recently and pretty much all have a good name chosen for them anyway. The only one I can think of which does need changing is the Rush Common stop - there are three different sections of Rush Common along various parts of Brixton Hill so why this particular one gets the name is beyond me. I'd rename it to Baytree Road which is literally opposite the bus stop.

A lot across the A13 between Lodge Avenue and Chequers Lane need changing.
Renwick Road -> Renwick Road/Castle Green Station (only if the proposed new station goes ahead)
Gale Street/Goresbrook Leisure Centre -> Gale Street/Goresbrook School or Gale Street/Jo Richardson School (Goresbrook Leisure Centre has been gone for over a decade at this point)
Cook Road, Morrison Road -> Cook Road/Dagenham ASDA, Morrison Road/Dagenham ASDA (might help, might not with how the A13 is set up)

Some bus stops I would rename in my area:
Sarre Avenue back to Airfield Way Tesco (just like the old days) St Laurence Church (370 stop) to Upminster Park since there is a few bus stops in Upminster named, ‘St Laurence Church’ Western Road to The Liberty Shopping Centre Collier Row/Clockhouse Lane to Collier Row Town Centre

Debatable - it was largely developed as a 1930s suburb, but it does have a recognisable shopping centre around a central crossroads.
