As this now appears to have been released has anyone got a copy? Any reviews / comments as to whether it is worth buying?
Ditto for his book on the last LT Leyland Olympians. (I'm considering buying both via Amazon as they're discounted but haven't seen the books "in the paper" so to speak).

I've got both and they are both well worth the money - they are as good as the London Titan & London Metrobus books he published, if not better.

Both books ordered and at a decent price via one of the smaller providers listed on Amazon's site.

Watch out for a London E400 Enviro book from the same source later this year So soon? There are plenty of Enviro 400s still around and production was only stopped recently. Hardly a bus that is of much historic or general interest given the oldest examples date back only to '05 and all pretty much still in daily action. I'm surprised he hasn't done one on the Dart. Plenty of material to cover regarding the high and low floor variants plus all the different body styles it came in plus the Dennis development story too. The Dart doesn't get the attention it deserves. Ok, not as historically significant but ground breaking in the sense of it being the first midi-bus (spawned a new market sector) and a sales hit with over 13000 sold across the world. Were it not for the Dart, Plaxton and Dennis would probably have been in a more perilous state I imagine during the 90s and early 00s. I think it deserves to be held up there with the Routemaster to be honest.

A bus I would like someone like Capital Transport to tackle is the definitive history of the DM/DMS Fleetline : that is, like the bus or not, a most fascinating tale.

Mr Wharmby has one in the pipeline so watch this space. I'd certainly buy the book if made - after riding just two ever with the first one being just 2 years ago, I've really enjoyed them though they still don't rate as highly as the L's, M's & T's which forever will be my favourite classes lol.

What we really need is for someone to print a book about London Darts. The first prototype came in 1989 and the first production batch in 1990. The final new ones came in 2006 when they were superseded by Enviro 200s. This 16-year production run was longer than RM/ RML/ RCL types ever had!
