Speaking outside court, Mr Ball said he had spent more than the £300,000 he raised on the case, leaving him in "massive debt"No one held a gun to his head and told him he must seek a prosecution

Chuka Umunna is the DW334 of politicians! He's moved somewhere else again! How long will he last at Lib Dems after ChangeUK, Independent Group, and Labour? As regards Boris, Prime Minister's Questions will get a whole lot more interesting... his baffling vocabulary will stun opponents. This is from his days as Mayor, in the London Assembly... youtu.be/LI5oRTL-6rAJust wait until he takes the fight to EU, they won't understand him either

I'd still personally vote him in because the rivals aren't particularly appealing and locally, he has done some decent things in the past even if his popularity has dipped with all these movements.

On LBC, his constituency is not happy, they don't want their Labour MP representing Liberal Democrat values and policies. It would be like Arsenal recruiting a manager who job shares at Spurs at the weekends Lib Dems, although higher in the polls then either Tories or Labour are weak as a kitten - that pensioner cannot hold the reins forever and every other leader they've had this year has only lasted a few weeks then quit because of scandal or incompetence. Chuka is trying to get the top job, and appears to be a misfit good fit for them at the moment. It's like having a rubbish car for years, but then coming into money and rushing out to buy the first Ferrari 360 you see, then finding out it has bad electrics because you didn't do your research first Most want a by election to choose a new candidate. Any votes for the Brexit Party are protest votes, as seen in the local elections. They may have gotten into EU elections but it was anger at the mess that is the Tories at the moment. I suggest Leo Veradker and his mates had better start learning Latin to decipher whatever it is Boris starts saying in negotiations. He will throw out some random Latin phrase when cornered, or come out with Little Englander stuff of nostalgia before the UK got involved with the Continent... or may even suprise us, do a complete 180 and get even closer when he realises how much the country will lose starting from square one ... Semper Audentior, pater! *remember Boris was all for Europe when London Mayor, but did a Chuka when he saw an opportunity for the top job in the Tories. The bus has simply been on diversion, but the destination hasn't changed

There will be some People's Vote rallies across the country in coming months. These will start with Leeds next Saturday and conclude with London on October 12th.

The bus has simply been on diversion, but the destination hasn't changed Vince Cable is stepping down as Lib Dem leader on the 23rd although Umunna will have to join the queue. I can imagine some Lib Dem members being sceptical of someone who joined their party five minutes ago and is now vying for the top job. I think Jo Swinson will be the next Lib Dem leader. The Lib Dems do seem to have deluded themselves into thinking they are a major force for change, they have done well at hoovering up distrungtled remainers in London but their stature will never grow beyond a certain point

Until terrorist Corbyn goes, Labour are off limits unless they put forward a really good candidate as Umunna’s replacement.

It all gets too much for me, all this politics and it's good to switch off and escape from it. My 1 year old daughter loves the 'Planet Earth' series on BBC, She watches it for ages

He does seem to speak his mind rather than sticking to a 'party line': just as well, as he'd have to remember which party he's in presently. I've a feeling he's too much of a maverick to ever get too far up the greasy pole. Shame, I'd like to see a PM who was educated in Catford, as I was!
