Where was the last stretch of trolleybus overhead to be removed in London and, conversely where is the latest piece of trolleybus overheard to be erected in London?

It should have been in the Fulwell Isleworth area, but I'm sure that this is a trick question. In the last part, do you mean trolley overhead or tram overhead?.
(You've got a new book haven't you ;D)

Not in Fulwell/Isleworth area. Not really a trick question although the second one could be classed as such, even though the wires do make contact with the poles of a London t'bus.
The only new book I have, should you be intesrested, is that on Buses & Trams on the Screen, which I have advertised under Books & Videos. A snip at £3.50!

I'm kinda shooting in the dark here but is it Wimbledon? I really haven't got a clue but random guesses could get it

OK. Last piece of overhead to be removed was at Shepherds Bush Green, sometime in 1962.
A stretch of trolleybus overhead (albeit dead) was installed this year in the LT museum at Covent Garden for their T/B.
(All trams in the museum (apart from the Feltham) have overhead wire.)

So this was after the 657 was withdrawn, but how long after? Last rolleybus was May 1962
If there was much of a delay it would be at odds with previous policy which was to take the O/H down as soon as the last trolleybus had gone, even to the point where a forgotten about trolleybus from HB which ran after the last official trolley had returned to the depot was caught without power when the overhead was removed from the depot entrance. ;D
