Was travelling on a 5 and a 145 earlier today, the "this bus will wait a short while for a change of driver to take place" has been changed, and with a completely different sounding voice. Can't remember exactly what it said now, but went something like "bus will wait here while drivers changeover"

"This bus will wait here for a short while for the engineer to install a module of different sounding announcements. We expect to be making these changes every week for the next half a century so please be reassured you'll have this wait on a weekly basis. I'm Leon Daniels reporting for the TfL Blinds and Announcements Steering Group."

All the driver presets have a new voice with some being worded slightly different. The only downside is the voice is weaker compared to Emmas.

I heard that announcement on a 133 outside BN recently which is a surprise as it's a N route, presumably the driver needed the loo?

Heard one on the 350 today - the stay with your buggy message was in another woman's voice.

Thanks for sharing. They sound very amateurish, certainly not done by a professional. What's the bet that someone in back office drew the short straw! I think the purpose of updating the announcements was so that passengers actually notice - the hoping being that it is a different voice it will be noticed whatever message is trying to be communicated. An example of when Contactless first came to NR, Southern stations had a very animated voice on the tannoy saying about card clash, but because of the different voice it was more noticeable
