I see from perusing Ensign's twitter feed that they are in the process of adopting smartcards for use on their buses. It will be a separate system so no Oyster usage and will be for season tickets initially. No PAYG yet. They did a mini poll about contactless card usage for their buses - quite a big positive vote for that so they may adopt that at some point but no firm commitment yet. I imagine it's not a cheap thing to do for a smallish bus company given the processing needed and effective working with the banks.
No date yet for this year's running day but it seems a former Greyhound USA coach may turn out - they now own one for film work! Seems they can't carry passengers on it though because the door is not legal for UK use.

Possibly just a static display or maybe doing circuits at Lakeside allowing people a chance to snap it on the move. That's what's suggested on the Ensign Vintage blog (written by Steve Newman). No credit on my part here - just reporting what's on the blog.
