Gal OM1 was in the forecourt if BX this morning so I highly doubt it will be at the expo There's an Optare Metrodecker (or whatever they're called) there, with London Central logos and TfL leaves livery blinded for the 36. Not sure if it's a demonstrator or OM1 tarted up a bit The Optare MetroDecker blinded for the 36 really had my eyes popping for a second!

Volvo electric SRM launchInterestingly the speech suggests Volvo will pay for the street chargers and batteries, if this is the case then it will presumably be some sort of lease rental for the bus where the batteries and charger remain the property of Volvo. No idea how this compares with cost of diesel fuel or relative cost per month of diesel vs electric Clever way of tying operators into proprietary technology. I suspect the same probably applies to all other manufacturers who will no doubt have special connectors or something else "unique" about their designs. At some point operators are going to have turn round and say - standardised charging interfaces regardless of which vehicle type uses them. TfL are in a good position to start making these demands to avoid technology lock in and then obsolescence. New iBus announcement coming soon: "Bus will wait here, while batteries are charged"

Also present are the leaves and the "I'm an electric bus" tagline In other news, ADL have pushed the boat out with what is undoubtedly the world's poshest Enviro400. Whoever took these pics did well to fight their way through the crowd And I bet it still has that toilet shaped rear window at the back

Optare metrocity EV extended range in TFL red Don't know proposed route for this electric demonstrator For the record the BYD ADL electric buses were SEe35 on display and SEe37 running outside So majority of fleet now built Metroline BYD1474 was the other TfL spec electric bus at show The newly launched metrodecker EV, the electric/hybrid SRM and the StreetAir EV haven't got any fleet numbers

New SRM pictureAnyone else think the windows look odd, there is an extra wide pillar upstairs about third way back (my guess is to carry cables to roof unit) and downstairs there is a blanking panel between the doors with an odd little window behind the side destination blind

It then has the luggage rack on top with only a few inches clearance before you reach the ceiling! Looks weird. Not my photos. I just viewed Simon Smiler's album of the Expo and I see that there's a StreetAir EV which looks exactly like GAL's one but with an Arriva interior, I wonder if this hints something?
