Seems odd modern the RAPT LED blinds are so restricted and cumbersome. You would think modern tech was just as easy or easier than current smart blinds. I don't understand the restricted part. However London sovereign have alot of routes and SDs are blinded for all the SD routes and DDs are blinded for all the DD routes plus the 288, 303, H18/19. For example let's take the 125 On the current smart blinds you will have 125 Colindale Station 125 Winchmore Hill 125 Hendon Quadrant 125 Finchley Central 125 North Finchley 125 Totteridge & Whetstone Station 125 Hampden Square 125 Southgate Station say you are heading towards Winchmore Hill and then you get a turn at Southgate Station. You press 1 button to keep the route locked to 125 then another button to scroll through only the 125s destinations to find Southgate Station. On the LED blinds you have this for example. 79 Edgware Station 79 Alperton Sainsbury's 125 Colindale Station 125 Winchmore Hill 142 Brent Cross 142 Watford Junction 183 Golders Green 183 Pinner 288 Queensbury Morrisons 288 Broadfields 303 Edgware 303 Kingsbury Circle H12 Stanmore Station H12 South Harrow H14 Northwick Park Hospital H14 Hatch End H18 Harrow H19 Harrow X140 Heathrow Airport X140 Harrow Bus Station 79 Wembley Central 125 Hendon Quadrant 142 West Hendon Broadway 183 Harrow ..... So you then have to scroll through so many routes and destinations before you get to 125 Southgate Station, you get the idea. On the BME's, each route and its turns are lumped together. So to go from 398 Wood End to 398 Rayners Lane, its just one button to change between the destinations. I have yet to play about with the BCE blinds though. An example of a BME Blind Change I have done: youtu.be/Hhhsg6bS4hE

BCE47105 has been in service since before XMAS without Ibus. Oh, my bad! Hopefully we’ll actually see some new additions soon then. Yes, more BCEs are coming within the next week or so. The last few 183 drivers are being typed trained on BCEs.

Weirdly, even though BME27024 has electric blinds, it's currently on the 395 with a paper saying 395 at the front of the bus. The only routes with a full blindset are 398, H9, H10, H18, and H19. BMe27020 is blinded for route 395. Blinds will be updated throughout the week. Expect to see regular BME occurances on the 395, drivers are being type trained.

I have just noticed the rear LED blind display for Route 398 more squished than the front display. Probably down to space constraints

398, H9, H10, H18, and H19 are the only routes on the BME blinds. They should have insert H14 + 183 back. Now it's only a text file not a huge print and never know when 183 needs a SD. I have checked one more BME, no 395. H14 is on some BMEs, thats it.

Has anyone seen this on the BMEs/BCEs before? It says: ' I'm electric... Batteries included: Driver Wanted! Call: 08006940112' DSC_2569 by lordprotecter75, on Flickr BusesInLondon would you be able to get your usual "blind change" for those as well? I'm curious how the other routes look like. I will try my best in January . The 398 should be converting soon too! Has anyone seen this on the BMEs/BCEs before? It says: ' I'm electric... Batteries included: Driver Wanted! Call: 08006940112' DSC_2569 by lordprotecter75, on Flickr Good tour of SO! Also super turquoise refurbished voith/Euro 5-sounding with black windows preserved ADE40303 returned: Btw this allowed ADE40477/8 to return back to TT.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked my tour of Harrow Garage from Christmas Day. It has become a mini Xmas tradition now. A few observations, I didn't see the 07/58 reg DEs at the Garage at. VH45135 is the sole Mk1 Gemini 3 at the garage. BME27001/2 don't sport the BYD logo. BME27021 has also been delivered. All chargers have now been commissioned and are usable.

I've seen an LT with a 411 blind. I've heard that RATP don't split blind sets by SD/DD. iirc they have an AV/WK set, a Sovereign set, a FW/TV set, an S/V set and a RP set. Or something like that. I don't know about other garages within LU but BT/SO DDs only have blinds for SD routes 288 & 303. Likewise the single deckers only have blinds for DD route H14. Also the ADHs have blinds (inserts) for the 125 but not the VHs/ADEs. The Sovereign DDs are also blinded for single deck routes H18/19. The latest DD blindsets include the 18, N18, and 125

The H14 ADH’s are 10.3m whilst the BCE’s are 10.9m, no idea if that would be an issue on the route The ADHs are 10.4m also an SP was on the H14 the other week and the H14 goes no where really where a 10.9m DD cannot go unless it's around Northwick park Hospital. The turn at Hatch End round the roundabout is quite tight.
