According to my reliable source (Cousin who works at AR) - Route 123 will become a 24 hour route in late august 2023. This is GREAT news!

You've got to be joking with the 38s being separated very well. They leave Victoria in bunches of 3s sometimes. Well the 38 does stand in a single file lane at Victoria bus station. Buses cannot overtake whilst on stand so if a late driver is overtaken before entering Victoria, they are going to depart the stand late. The 73 and 507 suffered the same fate too, as well as the 521 at London Bridge bus station. I remember when Route 73 was bendy bus operated and if a driver was early and the bus behind was meant to leave afterwards, the controller for the route at Victoria station used to tell the driver to circle around Victoria Street back to the stand. Times have changed! London need to invest in bus stations that are multi storey. Walthamstow Central could have been this kind of design! I know that space is the MAJOR issue!

Does anyone have a link or copy of the temporary central line working timetable please?

Unofficial news - My friend who is a bus driver at Camberwell bus gargae told me yesterday that apparently Route N15 will have an enhanced frequency of every 8-9mins during the weekend. Apparently an offer was put out to some drivers at Camberwell to drive N15 for at least one weekend night (Friday or Saturday).

On the Eastern End of the Central Line I heard spontaneous recorded announcements on the train about line closures this weekend. I was very surprised to hear it! It only stated "Part of the central line will be closed this weekend"

BBC Radio London Robert Elms dedicated a show to the route 11 and highlights that changes will be made to some London bus routes. It included a fellow BBC Radio presenter/ report Edward Adoo travelling on the route and callers sharing their favourite memories on buses. A couple of conversations mentioned about the old route 8 and 52. This show is 4 hours and it is sporadically mentioned for the first 2 hours and a half. Just to note - Edward Adoo is a bus enthusiast, however professionally he is an established BBC Local and national radio presenter www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0f9t6h6

Made use of the 507 today simply because I was in the area with an hour to spare. Waterloo - Victoria departing two minutes behind a 211 at around 09.00 we carried three passengers in total all the way. Victoria - Waterloo without knowing where the 211s were at around 10.00 we carried 9 all the way. Not exactly worthwhile loadings. And it still makwes me wonder why the 11 needs to be pulled out of the City when the 211 clearly manages the Victoria - Waterloo traffic albeit not by the same route as the 507 I disagree with the cutting of the 11 and withdrawal of routes 507 and 521. Factor in that your observations took place during the Easter Holidays. Loadings are not usually heavy during the day, but during peak hours they carry decent loads, especially route 507.

I think based on the changes, Route 11 should either run up to Aldwych at least during the day or operate from Waterloo Station to Hammersmith and withdraw Route 211.
I am not keen on Route 26 to Victoria (It will suffer same traffic conditions as the current route 11) - Might as well keep Route 11 the same!

Overnight GAL have gone from having 1 Holloway bus route (153) to 4 (21, 91, 153, N91)! Plus all operating from South London bus garages!

Here's a quick quandary: now that RA has other non Red Arrow routes, how did they operate the 153 in the New Year's cordon around Waterloo? Was it given a temporary NP allocation for the evening? They did not operate it at all. After 8pm there was no service until the next day! Same with route 507

I really do hope a new company enters the market (which seems highly unlikely in the new few years) and east London becomes diversified in terms of operations. From Debden to Mile End on the central line, as well as the Hainault loop, the majority of routes are operated now by Stagecoach. There are a few Go-Ahead routes e.g. 396, 101, 69, 276(for now) and D7. In regards to Arriva a few examples are 66, 123, 150 and 158.

Blackfriars Bridge is close routes 40 63 N63 N89 are on diversion don't why they go to I would assume that they would divert from Elephant and Castle and go via London Bridge and Cannon Street. I do not think they can turn right onto Stamford Street (just before Blackfriars Bridge - Southside) to go via the 381 routing

The last bus routes are typically Routes 73, 113, 422, 490, 55 and 154 (All finish between 1:50 and 2:00am). I guess with the abellio strikes, not too sure about route 490 this year. They are currently 5 buses in service right now. It could be a possibility that one of those drivers are the last bus from Richmond to Heathrow T5. 118? Last bus on a Saturday comes into Morden just after 2 am, and shortly before that on other nights Very good point about 118! The last bus tonight across the network will be determined by the speed of the journey and if there are any obstacles along the journey.

Route 26 will suffer same issues as Route 11 with Whitehall protests, traffic in Trafalgar Square and the city.
