Yes I know it's not buses directly but a few interesting points from this new TfL consultation. consultations.tfl.gov.uk/roads/bromley-by-bow-marshgate-lane/- plan to remove the Bow Flyover and remodel the junction scrapped on cost grounds. - new crossings of the A12 and A11 to create new local links - new roads to link into the Olympic Park and in the proposed redevelopment of the Tesco site at Bromley by Bow. - indicative possible bus service to be added in the newly opened up areas.

At least sense has prevailed in regards to the flyover removal idea - the chaos that would of brought would of been horrific.

They still wish to remove the flyover and roundabout, they just haven't yet got the funding. Don't be surprised if it comes back one day.
I am unsure what the plan would be to deal with all the traffic if the flyover and roundabout were removed, not just during construction but afterwards, or the inconvenience and resultant pollution it would cause. Sometimes I do wonder what the plan is to enable everyone to get around, not all journeys can be made by walking or cycling.

The traffic there on most mornings and evenings is bad and isn't going to get any better by the looks of things so in my opinion removing the flyover has to be one of the stupidest things you could do the Congestion would be horrendous , even now if there is a problem with the Blackwall Tunnel during the Peak the whole of the area is completely gridlocked so getting rid of the flyover isn't going to solve anything will just be a prettier view from the nice £500000 "affordable" Apartments they seem to be building all around that area on Stratford High street that with the nearby Canals should keep the prices nice and high and make it attractive to potential buyers, As for the new roads the one across the High street to Sugar house lane seems like a good idea , As for the junction on the A12 not to sure .
