Am I correct in saying that the only garages now without buses which have new-style blinds are DX (who don’t have any smartblinded buses period) and WJ? GY would’ve been included in this if it wasn’t for ENL111. It would just be better if there was more consistency and accuracy over blinds in general as opposed to stuff like “32 Kilburn Park” and “206 Kilburn Park Station” despite that they both stand at the same place and are run by the same operator. Not sure if the 295's VWH's at WJ have new style blinds but possibly some of the DE11* series which moved in not too long ago have new style blinds? (Not sure if all but) Most VWH's have old style WoB's

Does anyone knwo the routes of the VHs displayed on the blinds at S and HH. I believe the VHs at S have a pretty eccentric mix of routes, incorporating the 94, 148, 220, H91, and N9. That's just from videos of blind changes I've seen

The X140 is getting White on Blue background blinds exactly like the blinds used on the 607, also the blinds do also have Harrow Weald on them despite the X140 isn't being planned to go there at the moment.

Thanks for the post. I presume the X140 will start in December with other Crossrail West London route changes (218, 278, 306 and 391).

Is there a reason why the X26 and X68 do not also have blue blinds like these?

Just a guess but it could be because the 607/X140 and X26/X68 are operated / will be by different operators (Metroline and Go Ahead respectively). The blue blinds could be a preference that has to be requested by the operators.

The blue blinds on the 607 were on First buses as well as LBL's Centrewest operation though so I'm not it's specified by the operator

I know I'm a little late in asking this so sorry if its already been asked before - please excuse my ignorance. Could someone explain to me the difference between these new smart blinds and the traditional bus blinds?

Traditional bus blinds are controlled manually where you turn a handle or similar sort of device whereas smart blinds are blinds controlled by the driver pushing a button

So is it only new-ish buses which have these smart blinds? It will tend to be any buses from around 2008-2010. There was an overlap period where some operators such as Arriva seemed to hold out for as long as they could with traditional blinds. It's why the 60reg DWs at DX have manual blinds but the 58 and 09reg Scania Omnicities at Stagecoach have Smart blinds.

I thought that there were some newer smart blinds that have been introduced in the last year or so hence why I asked my question initially, is there any truth in that?

Only new blinds I can think of are the LED trial blinds.
