[Actually impressed someone agreed to take the hit on depreciation charges for all those vehicles in one go ... most un-Arriva London like. Still should place them in a better position for the future, reducing the cost base by eliminating future depreciation charges. Good for the longer term viability of the company. Never made any sense worrying about shorter term budgets, which were wildly optimistic. Very quick count, make that exactly 100 vehicles gone, or the space occupied by a small to medium sized garage. Will the process repeat itself with the E400s, or has the lesson been learnt? Realise the value in your surplus assets. Think the older stuff is fully depreciated now so they could let them go at market price. A lot of the buses have mysteriously had bits removed so quite some effort to take them for anything but scrap.

The challenging bit is getting people with the right skills and resources to get the job done efficiently. Requires multiple people to be available to work at the same time. Plus some parts like ECUs may be obsolete. A project and a half!

Any lastest updates at all? They get released in the first few days of each month The only thing that's off the top of my head is 57/08 reg B9TLs (due to new B5TLs entering service) from Lothian are now being displaced to Ensignbus for sale. Some, I believe were sold directly from Lothian to Brylaine up in Boston. I also believe 33088 has moved from First Essex to Ensignbus as well for sale. I suspect the 11/61/62 reg from Tower Transit have possibly gone to sale at Ensign from the 28 & 69 losses.

Some are likely to go straight on to scrappers I mean I definitely can't see lots of them selling - the 07 reg E200s at GAL & RATP as well as the 57 reg I highly doubt will sell and instead go to scrap - potentially the same with the DE15s at Metroline. Them not being Euro 6 versus other competitors and in bad condition means they will very likely go to scrap.

In all fairness, yes that is true but that was likely a group decision - the ones that have not been redistributed amongst the group have instead gone to scrap pretty much straight away via Ensign
