The Bank branch should re-open on the 16th May if all gose well on the 15th. 16th May is now confirmed by TfL TfL are on top for when it comes to rail at the moment! They have done really well meeting the revised deadline for the Elizabeth line and this major upgrade project at Bank! Good to know the 135 will have its buses in time for Tower Transit to take over.

Yes, given that there is a week between the 733 ending and taking over the 135, all Tower Transit routes should have an excellent service next week!

Was this due to engineering works or an unforeseen incident? Preparing for the Bank reopening. Tomorrow trains will be running empty beyond Stockwell to Moorgate.

The rest of the line will reopen tomorrow as normal Presumably these are the test runs through Bank being made 'live' for passenger service? Kennington to Charing Cross, Moorgate to Euston and the Battersea branch will continue to have no service for the rest of the day.

Yes I think it's just a "soft opening" just to make sure everything runs fine. They are probably doing other stuff hence the rest of the closure isn't opening until tomorrow.

Probably to do with staff duties/rostering as well.

Had a first look and ride on the Northern line at Bank the new platform is very impressive. The only negative thing is the new DMI I think they need a reboot they are all over the shop

Out of interest, anyone who has used the Battersea Power Station branch regularly/recently have an idea of what the ridership is like at the moment?

The Northern Line extension has operated successfully since opening in September 2021. Up to the 12 March 2022, circa 2.14 million trips have been recorded, with an average of 30,000 passengers per week at Nine Elms station and 60,000 passengers per week at Battersea Power Station. (TfL Board meeting - 8 June 2022)
