The bus would look a lot better if the top panel was painted black. I’d like to see more of them in the future, though.

Ideal for late night burger, milk shake and secret spliff parties. Is there any history or evidence people want to sit on seats like this with lower seat backs / less defined cushions? They really don't comfortable - just as similar seats on Reading Buses' double deckers look equally unattractive. Put side by side with the conventional seats, as in the photo, I know what I'd rather be sitting. They certainly seem to be in vogue. I can't say it appeals to me - I've seen some of the things Reading are trying out and while innovation is welcome, I find some of them a bit gimmicky and even offputting.

They are for CT Plus and will be used on the 153 and W13 for a trial. (Source: LOTS Online)

They are for CT Plus and will be used on the 153 and W13 for a trial. (Source: LOTS Online) So there is a Irizar demonstrator for CT Plus and a Yutong demonstrator for GoAhead But this is not really surprising when you read the TfL committee reports (see page 90), all single deck buses in ULEZ will be zero emissions by September 2020, and all new single decks (London wide) from 2020 to be zero emissions. I think most conversions are already announced, possibly just route 100 to go content.tfl.gov.uk/pic-20171013-agenda-item08.pdf
