I hope the new Jetlink service is a success but do wonder what passengers are meant to do once in Canning Town for example once trains have stopped running unless its assumed they will use Night buses etc. At weekends they'll connect with the night tube. On weeknights I suppose they may as well stop there given it won't add very much to the running time, and it's not a bad place to interchange with night buses as you say. Indeed it would be a bit remiss not to stop there, people might well book taxis or arrange for somebody to meet them in a car for onward travel.

Greater Anglia have some very early and very late services to/from LST and the airport starting in September calling only at Sheffield. Wonder how this will affect the new jetlink.

Shame on Southend Airport! Think it maybe best to hear Southend side of the story on why they have banned Ensign from using the airport before people start complaining.

I wonder could it be similar to the Luton Airport issue a few years ago were they only allowed certain operators access?

Think it maybe best to hear Southend side of the story on why they have banned Ensign from using the airport before people start complaining. Its difficult to see what their justification can be. Well without all the relevant details *from both sides* it is hard to know. I assume the bus stands at Southend Airport are on private property. This is not the first instance of airport authorities being "picky" about what services / operators they will allow on their property. I assume Ensign sought permission before the service started but something has clearly gone wrong somewhere.

They probably dont want to pay the fees to use the Airport bus station ... so the airport told them to sod off.
