113 will indeed be moving back to Marble Arch later this year, accompanied by a slight decrease in frequency. 159 will be cut back to Oxo. Does anyone know whether the 94 will get cut back to Marble Arch? Not sure. Hopefully a compromise would be Portman Square then at the very least it can still serve Marble Arch Station stop and hopefully pick up alongside Selfridges then M Arch Stn. I think Marble Arch/Bayswater Road would be very bad as the pick up/drop off for the 94. I like to think that was why North Row was considered.

Probably won’t be affected just how N8 and N25 weren’t affected when their day counterparts were cut to TCR and City Thameslink respectively.

And the N53 and N242. If the diversion route isn't too long then the N94 and N113 will continue with possibly the N109 going to Marble Arch.

Atleast that would keep two routes from Oxo/Regent Street to Baker Street if the 113 diverts to Marble Arch. 113 will indeed be moving back to Marble Arch later this year, accompanied by a slight decrease in frequency. 159 will be cut back to Oxo. Assuming the plans are defaulting to what the initial ones were at pedestrianisation, the 113s turnaround moanouvere will actually involve coming down Baker Street then going back up Gloucester Place, making the last stop actually Selfridges or Portman Square as opposed to Marble Arch. It would also remove the need for an additional stand at Marble Arch as the buses will be able to stand on either Baker Street or Gloucester Place.

Could carve out a stand at the end of one quite easily. Ideally along side Selfridges for the 113 and create an Oxford Street destination similar to how the 3 and 15 had Regent Street as they didn't quite reach Oxford Circus.

I'm not sure there is much room on either Baker Street or Gloucester Place for a stand unless you move the taxi rank elsewhere. Portman Square's south side has enough room but isn't ideal for the 113 - personally, I'd ran it down to Hilton Hotel and let stand in the Park Lane stand on Achilles Way. The 94 could then stand on the southern side of Portman Square alighting & picking up at the Selfridges stops on Baker Street.

Don't worry, with the continuing requirement to wear a face mask on TfL services, nobody will want travel into Central London for anything other than essential purposes (i.e. work) so the shops will all close down and then there won't be a requirement for any buses to Oxford Street as there will be nothing to go there for.

From my limit weekend observations its the opposite way around! People seem very happy to go places like Oxford Street to socialise / shop but far too worried to return to "The Office" to work.

Yes I think the feeling if central is a good place to shop/have fun but weekdays it's still more desirable to work at home.

Whislt it has been reported elsewhere, 3 years on from the consultation results the 113 is being diverted to Marble Arch and the 159 is cut to Oxford Circus on the 28th August.

Yes from 2009 to 2017. End of a route from Finchley Road to Oxford Circus.

Wouldn't it be simpler to just swap the current 113 and 159 stands, with the 113 standing with the 189 at Marble Arch?

Unless the stand from the 159 is needed for the 414 or worse still the 94. If that is the case then maybe a stand for the 113 by Selfirdges may be created. Portman Square from the north would cut just slightly too short of Oxford Street really but would be good for the 94.

Portman Square from the north would cut just slightly too short of Oxford Street really but would be good for the 94. A stand for the 94 would be the best option but would have to be on Portman Square itself and preferably on the south side of the square which would likely see no complaints as it's just offices there. A 113 standing at Portman Square would lose common interchange at Selfridges and Marble Arch itself whereas a 94 wouldn't.
