Snowing in Dartford. The 96 is not running to Bluewater. Turning at DVH. LVF has for some reason been showing 96s only running to DVH for some days now. The route is still running to Bluewater as usual.

Alternating between rain and snow, now snowing in Tottenham, too wet to settle for now. More throughout the night forecast, looks to warm up on Monday.

Anyone else seen the weather forecast for Friday Might be sleet, but some evaporative cooling could cause some snow

Doubt it, snowman not going to get snow, more possibility in the north of the country, in London, nothing. I would not even bet on a white Christmas, won't be happening.

The likes of the 331, 375 and R8 might be the only ones that suffer if there's any snowfall within the M25 I reckon Any (substantial) snow closer to London and I'll be surprised

R5/R10 was operating between Orpington and Pratt’s Bottom for a significant part of the day due to the snow plus roadworks closing Rushmore Hill. They were then cleared to run up Cudham Lane to Knockholt Pound, returning via Cudham Lane. Halstead escaped the gritters as per usual. Very random but does anyone know how buses turn around at Pratts Bottom in the event of disruption? Do they just reverse into a side road or an access road (such as Hillside Farm) and then return from where they came from?

Snow events on the R5/R10 tend to see slightly different operating conditions every time. On the occasion quoted I seem to recall we were not using Cudham Lane or Rushmore Hill at all. Therefore, regardless of whether or not we were an R5 or R10 we were going from Green Street Green, along the A21, circumnavigating the roundabout at Pratts Bottom and returning back to Orpington. For my part, if I happened to have people on then I was serving the Pratts Bottom stop then reversing into the side road to turn around. This had the helpful side effect of being able to wait somewhere safe to wait for my time I miss doing the R5/R10 - always fun when something unexpected happened and great craic with a wonderful group of punters
