The current dispute is with the RMT and LU London Underground. CrossRail/Elizabeth Line will be operated by MTR as a concession to TfL. Which is why the DLR, LO and Tramlink are not involved in the current dispute. But some of the stations are staffed by TfL, so could get same problem as happened on the Finsbury Park - Moorgate section, with trains able to run except stations were closed so service was suspended. Some stations are staffed by LU (distinction needs to be made between LU LO DLR and TfL) and if similar dispute occurred would be involved in action. MTR will have a staff presence at core stations for dealing with platform screen doors.

Do you think that if ever the tube goes on strike after Crossrail is launched would the Crossrail staff join with Tube staff and strike? The current dispute is with the RMT and LU London Underground. CrossRail/Elizabeth Line will be operated by MTR as a concession to TfL. Which is why the DLR, LO and Tramlink are not involved in the current dispute. I would also say highly unlikley as different terms & conditions. The term Elizabeth line a smoke screen. As it is not a Underground line, because it would have had Underground roundels and an Underground livery. It should have been left as TfL rail or plain and simple crossrail

The dispute only went ahead because RMT included possible changes to pensions, even though there are currently no proposed changes, just an independent review as a condition of TfL bailout. It would only have station closures like Whitechapel which is managed by LUL, Bond St, TCR etc

Or does it just mean managed by National Rail but with Underground staff?

I think it would be a similar thing to Blackhorse Road Dstock7080 may Know more I haven't read in detail what's happening. You seemed very clear with your earlier post about National Rail but the core stations: Bond Street Tottenham Court Road Farringdon Liverpool Street Whitechapel will be owned and operated by London Underground and their staff will be present. Elizabeth Line/MTR will also have a small contingent at these stations to deal with detrainments and platform screen door problems, they will be in uniform.Paddington will be entirely staffed by MTR/Elizabeth Line.

Thanks for that I just wanted to be sure. That's one way of getting something confirmed I guess 🤣. I hope my initial question to richard never came across wrong I was just curious to how things would work with large stations such as Tottenham Court Road. Thanks also Dstock7080 for explain how things will work day to day.
