Grant Shapps is still alive then! Now he has reminded us he still exists, perhaps he can get on with the job he is meant to be doing. You got more chance of Mr Blobby creating successful transport policies than Shapps Not necessarily. Finchley garage closed when Mr Blobby was number 1

Final Authorisation has now been granted by the Office of Road and Rail for opening on 24th May. All the stations except Bond Street have been approved for passenger use, Bond Street is apprived for safe evacuation only. There really is no stopping it now. It is very good news that it will open in time for the Jubilee, and will even open on that Sunday, June 5th. Alas, the late opening of Bond Street means that during the Jubilee we cannot yet change directly from the Elizabeth to the Jubilee Lines

The difference is that these will be separate stations nearby rather than the same station.

The first planned closure of the core section have been announced!! There will be no service on Saturday 11th June! It’s suggested this date is linked to the line being open on Sunday 5th for the Jubilee Weekend!

If you read my post you will see its not a traditional engineering closure as such but most likely to make up for when the line is open on Sunday 5th. There is still testing going on when the line opens hence the Monday to Saturday service.

I wonder if we could have a soft opening even earlier than next Tuesday now the line has been officially opened?
