For anyone travelling on the Elizabeth line for the first time tomorrow, I want to wish everyone on this forum good luck and enjoy yourselves. Unfortunately I won't be attending on the opening day due to college commitments but I will be there the following day on May 25th. BRING ON THE ELIZABETH LINE! I shall be there tomorrow via 3 trains to Abbey Wood from Tulse Hill so not sure what time I'll get one

The first Elizabeth line train has now departed Paddington with a ton of enthusiasts and the Mayor of London on the first train. The first train from Abbey Wood has also departed. Also I may indeed be there today after all but it depends what time I finish college. Enjoy your day.

Someone pulled the alarm at Paddington so the service is suspended between Paddington and TCR.

Someone pulled the alarm at Paddington so the service is suspended between Paddington and TCR. I hope it was for a genuine reason and not just someone over excited and messing about. Disappointing for the first day but these things happen.

The last ever TFL Rail tonight will be the 00:55 from Liverpool Street due at Shenfield at 01:38 It was a bit premature last week when I went on TfL rail and all the signage was replaced inside of the carriages, showing the new section running. Also the roundels had all appeared to be changed outside the carriages, compared to 2 weeks ago it was only a few. Shockingly they also removed the roundels of the 315's but have not put anything on them, so they are now naked of any roundels

Turnout for the first services was absolutely amazing and shocking. Large queue 45 minutes before opening and 3-4 trains full in a row from Paddington. Abbey Wood was full as well

Disappointing for the first day but these things happen. After seeing what's been going on in recent football matches most likely the latter

So I’ve went out to ride it this morning and hats off to those involved because I’m very impressed with it overall. Trains were running on time and they were busy, not just with enthusiasts but also with regular people especially on the central station, with comments universally happy with what they’ve seen. Like with Nine Elms & Battersea Power Station, the stations are bright, airy and very pleasing aesthetically. My only gripes and they’re really nitpicky are why is it not Woolwich Arsenal and just Woolwich and the on board announcements need to tad refining when announcing the stop the train is at and the line diagram on the display. I even may make use of it after trying the interchange at Tottenham Court Road from Elizabeth to Northern and how remarkably close it is - 2 minutes max I make it via a small flight of stairs or a lift. Here are a few pictures I took - www.flickr.com/gp/vjaska/H5La17

Someone pulled the alarm at Paddington so the service is suspended between Paddington and TCR. Didn't release they can turn at Tottenham Court Road? There are points on the westbound track between TCR and FAR. They might have alternatively been running to PAD out of service
