Happy New Year hope it's good one. Just for fun what was your last route of the decade? for me it was VWH2094 on the 17 on a very short journey from St Pauls to London Bridge. I don't travel on any route yesterday unfortunately but I did travel on my first night route of 2020 HV370 on the N41 this morning Nice, DE20110 on the N33 for me although still blinded for the 33 only.

Happy new year. It worries me somewhat with DTs performance this GAL will end up taking on maybe the 229 and 492. Wishing everyone a Happy New Year I would say this year has been an interesting one with the many service changes and new routes introduced. Big Up the Enthusiast who creates those posters for the new routes at the bus stops that is something I had to highlight. Should get rewarded for putting in that effort. Overall the last two years have been quite interesting at DT with the increase in PVR due to 99 269 401 + 301 + 335 and has been great to be a part it and getting the opportunity to drive Hybrids.

Congrats on that That was a huge shock for me at the time, didn’t expect DT to get any Hybrids for at least a few years since I thought mainly the sub-urbs and Central London buses weren’t mainly getting prioritised in hybrids. Always good to see variety in the outer London sections. I’d like to give a special thank you to the drivers, controllers etc that not only have involvement with buses, but also those that are members here as well that inform us enthusiasts about any exclusive information. At least for me it’s valuable when we get those kinds of informations. It was a shock for many. Although many suburban routes already have Hybrids, many Outskirt garages still don't have any Hybrids.

Overall I would be very surprised if we keep all of them... Although speaking to engineers they say the Volvos are top quality compared to the rest of the fleet with DWs in second place.

Arriva have the existing bus advantage for both of them with the 65 reg T's, but as we all know this doesn't guarantee that they'll retain them. If the 229 was lost to Go-Ahead though, perhaps the T's could then move to the 466, especially as these are already Euro VI compliant and won't need any additional work done to them unlike the DW's which it is expected to take on. Although the 229 and 492's contracts renew this time next year, surely T42-65 can stay on until then. Not sure if the London wide ULEZ coming in this year will be a big problem though that will require the 08 reg T's to be replaced urgently.

As Boris Johnson is going to announce new restrictions for London and the South East tonight I think that's me done until the new year to keep away from all the negativity that will be on this forum during this time. Nearly approaching two years on this forum and have really enjoyed it so whether I've spoken to you on here about buses or private message about 747s retiring and lots more it's been great so thank you.
So Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all. Most importantly stay safe and always remember if you are struggling there's someone to speak to.

As it is very nearly Christmas, I wish you all a very lovely one, in your homes of course ! This year hasn't been the best for most of us, and I hope that next year would be slightly better (although I'm not sure about it, with all the extra mutations), but have an (early) Happy New Year as well!

I would like to wish everyone here an amazing Christmas 2020. This year's Christmas is especially special to everyone, whether it's a case of having Christmas be less commercialised this year leading to an additional focus on the religious aspect or whether the quieter Christmas allowing people to realise the support of their family around them, a time to finally just relax rather than needing to worry about travelling somewhere.
Also would like to wish everyone a happy New Year 2021 on this forum too.
2020, to say the least has been wild and has not yet stopped. On this forum we have all shown that we are different, different people who have different opinions and that's alright, even though it might not come across that way. This year has probably divided us more than ever, although we need to remember that what brought us all here together and what continues to bring people here year on year is the shared enthusiasm for buses. I imagine that's what brought each and every single one of us here and that's also what's kept us on this forum despite all of our differences. I hope 2021 will be a better year for all of us and that we can all resume effectively our normal lives.
2020 while rocky in other ways, bus wise it's no doubt been interesting. The Stagecoach takeover of the 25 and 173 were particular highlights for me and the influx of electric buses, would also be nice to end seeing what everyone else's "bus highlight" of the year was, one thing this year certainly didn't let us down in was the amount of service changes we had.
