I like to separate my greetings out! π
With the vaccines now well on their way out there is considerable hope that 2021 will, at least eventually, be a considerable improvement on 2020.
Hope you and those you love have a happy and hopefully less stressful and more interesting 2021!

Happy New Year everyone!
With less than 4 hours to go, I thought I'd make a post slightly earlier wishing every single one of you a happy new year 2021.
2020 has been described as "the worst year ever". It's been a disastrous year for all of us (except Jeff Bezos) as much of this year has been filled with negativity. Even today we have sadly had a record number of infections.
However, I commend you for making it through one of the toughest, hardest and strangest years that we've ever had to live through.
This year certainly flew by quickly though, it's as if every year that goes by, and as I get older, time passes faster. In fact, its been 171 days since I joined this forum, it only feels like yesterday when I first created an account on here.
That being said it is very easy to get caught up in a negative mindset, there have been many positives in 2020, things we can all agree were the high points of the year. So I want to finish this post with 10 good things that happened in 2020:
1. We found a vaccine for COVID-19 2. More people pledged to become healthier in 2020 (me included), such as going out on more walks and taking part in online fitness workouts 3. We realised how lucky we are to have our NHS #ThankYouNHS 4. Marcus Rashford succeeded in his campaign for free school meals 5. Captain Sir Tom Moore raised Β£32.8 million for the NHS Charities 6. We escaped World War III - nearly started by the United States at the beginning of 2020 7. Kamala Harris becomes the first female BAME American to be elected as Vice President of the United States 8. We have had very important lessons on institutional racism which changed the world for the better 9. Approximately 172 brand new electric buses entered service this year in London, including 9 E400EVs on the 174 over the last 48 hours of 2020 10. A lot of interesting tender results this year, from the surprising win of the 414 contract by Tower Transit, to the award of the 180 contract to Stagecoach London with a part new electric & existing hybrid allocation, the first of its kind in London
I hope 2021 is a better year for all of us and I pray that we can get back into some form of normality.

Happy New Year One and All. I know this has been a rubbish year but for all but on a personal level it been very difficult with loved ones being ill, losing a great friend and of course all the Covid rubbish. I honestly can't wait for 2021.On a bus note one resolution for me is to get back on buses -Β Only used 1 bus since Match I almost feel a fraud bus enthusiast

Have a brilliant 2021, everyone! 2020's been full of ups and downs, but we managed to get through it ! We've seen our fair share of odd curtailments and interesting buses coming out on routes, so perhaps we'll have more this year! Wishing you all the best!

A very happy New Year to all on the forum! Hopefully 2021 will be a better year for us all, and the prospects of that are looking good already with a vaccine on the way. After an awful year however, let's not forget the positives that bus12451 has mentioned above. Hopefully we will get to enjoy the hobby we love without fear of the covids and we get back to some sort of normal sooner this year. On a side note, new year, new name for me! I've decided that after 6 and a half years it's time for a change. Whilst I may have changed my name to the bus that features in my avatar it's still the same me (Zubin434)

Whilst I may have changed my name to the bus that features in my avatar it's still the same me (Zubin434) Talking of a new username, i have decided to rename myself MetrolineGA1511. This reflects Go-Ahead London being my 2nd favourite London bus company and Go-Ahead plc being my favourite of the national groups. I also thought I'd wish you all a happy new year here before posting anywhere else on here (or any other transport forum for that matter). Hopefully the vaccine will slow the increased spread of the virus and mean after that it will never be so bad again.

As it's Christmas I am suspending my usual interest in buses this weekend, and over the New Year weekend too. I'll be back on Bank Holiday Tuesday instead. I decided to drop in now to wish you all a very merry Christmas.
