Fairbrothers DD fleet has appeared on ebay (As Fairbrothers hand all their work to Warringtons Own Buses next month) and in the picture it includes DAF President T133AUA, ex AL DLAs 349, 369 & 370, and ex ML TAL128, there is also an un-identified DAF DW in the background which should be one of DW22 or DW50, or maybe both, but the description says 6, and shows the DLP, 3 DLAs, the TAL and 1 DW. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Double-decker-bus/173497189216?hash=item28653d0360:g:6XwAAOSwxfhbgxyQ |

Meritrule based in Tadworth have had their license revoked, I have made a small fleet list for them on buses I believe they own:
WVL19, WVL35, WVL44, WVL49, WVL112, WVL212, WVL213, 212, 216, TA249, TA316, OA332, NV387, 9008, 9772
They also had a fleet of coaches (These are ones I've seen photos of):
S6HYT (FJ08KOE), AO02RBZ, FJ58FFW, FJ58FHY, T215UCH, BF16XPJ
The company often did Rail replacement but was primarily private hire based.
OA332 & WVL19 have already appeared on ebay and WVL213 and coach AO02RBZ have gone back to Ensigns for re-sale again.

They always seemed to re-register their vehicles to NI registrations, isnt this something to do with tax fiddling? |

Anything involving the person who shares the name of Manfred Mann's ex lead singer is likely to be run in not an entirely straightforward way (I choose my words carefully, you will note.) The once excellent Western Greyhound bus company in Cornwall which fell into difficulties following the arson attack on its main depot was sold, in some desperation, to people associated with this gentleman and quickly failed, unsurprisingly. |

When I post the Ensigns fleet movements every month I noticed that every vehicle that went to 'Meritrule' appeared in service under the name hireyourtransport.com and even on flickr photos of vehicles under the name hireyourtransport.com people have put 'Meritrule' in the description/title. |

Express Motors directors, plus one driver, now sentenced. The 'family' (i.e. the directors) were found guilty and received sentences varying between six and seven and a half years: the driver had previously pleaded guilty, to lesser charges, so his sentence was commensulately less.
