Turner's Tours of Chulmleigh, Devon, withdrew all their local bus services after 27th October, citing ill-health. Turners will continue to operate coaches. All the routes were reallocated to other operators by Devon County Council and most operate to the same timetable.

Richardsons of Midhurst now in administration This has been posted on google review: Bald Senseless a day ago- This business has now ceased operations (without warning) and the director has chosen to disregard the winding-down period. The staff, including long-standing and loyal drivers who chose to support her when others would have sought damages, have been made redundant without notice. The lesson from this director is clear, THERE IS NO LOYALTY IN BUSINESS

Turner's Tours has now surrendered their operator's licence, bringing to an end almost 99 years of service - Albert and May Turner commenced their first bus service between Chulmleigh and Exeter in July 2020. 1920! Lol My uncle's family moved from Ivychimneys, Epping, to Chulmleigh in the 1960s: never got to visit, though. All I can reveal about the place is that the first 'l' is silent.

Is it the nail in the coffin for Renown Transport / Eastbourne Coachways ? (basically the same company)
Renown has has its licence immediately revoked, and Eastbourne Coachways has had its licence revoked from 24th July 2019 (presumably to allow for a smoother transfer of contract routes).
Renown have existed since 1962. Until fairly recently, they had the excellent 297 'Trans-weald' route (Tunbridge Wells-Tenterden) and Rye area contract routes, but currently just have a handful of routes around Bexhill and school/college contracts.
