Looks like Croydon Coaches and it’s various trading companies have been shut down by the Traffic Commissioner after major failures in drivers hours infringements and compliance. ow.ly/2wLg50v5KEX

Tomorrow (Wed 24th) will be the final day of Renown Transport / Eastbourne Coachways (same company pretty much).
They currently operate East Sussex County Council contract routes, with long route 95 (Bexhill to Conquest Hospital through some little villages and typical Sussex countryside), as well as Bexhill local routes 94, 96 and 97. They also operate school routes 320 and 384. The 95, 96, 97 and 320 will continue to be operated by Stagecoach under emergency council contract but at a reduced timetable. The 384 will by operated commercially by Stagecoach. The 94 won't be replaced.
While Stagecoach will operate double-decks on peak journeys on the 95 for school kids, It will be interesting to see if it is run with double-decks all day like Eastbourne Coachways do. DDs are not needed at all, but it will be sad for enthusiasts!
Today I travelled on an ex-Metrobus Scania, still in their livery, on the 95. It was an excellent run. Really scenic and fast running.
Interestingly, despite the shabbyness of the vehicles, buses can be all tracked on bustimes.org, which can't be done with Stagecoach. Times appeared accurately on real-time info at bus stops too. Real-time info at bus stops still seems rare outside London. I'm not sure it exists anywhere in Kent.

Marchants Coaches of Cheltenham is to give up its remaining bus operations at the end of October, citing the rate of reimbursement for concessionary passes. Reliability has been affected by roadworks, and by a series of vehicle breakdowns which has tarnished the company's reputation.
Four buses currently operate routes W1/W2 (Cheltenham circulars) and 606 (Cheltenham-Chipping Camden, extended to Stratford-upon-Avon on Sundays). All routes are supported by Gloucestershire County Council, it is not clear if the routes will be retendered.

Gatwick Flyer has ceased trading at short (no) notice. Note on website to contact administrators. Customers have been left stranded, some still on holiday, with an email telling them they have ceased trading, and to make other travel arrangements. As it reads on the Romford Recorder, the email, as portrayed, sounded rather abrupt. Although much can’t be said when a company goes bust, a little sympathy, and maybe some direction of alternative assistance would maybe helped a little.

Shocking, they have been established a few years now. Early 2000's even their fleet grew. I guess part down to the Thomas Cook effect and a lot of their clientele have switched to Uber.

According to the Romford Recorder, 32 years in business, suddenly ceased trading with no warning!

It’s appears with news this morning that we can add your bus of Nottingham to the list of ceased bus companies as there website states as of the 4 October yourbus has ceased trading. Confirmed in the latest edition of "Buses" magazine. Contracted routes were retendered by Derbyshire County Council and went to Stagecoach in Yorkshire, CT4N (Community Transport for Nottingham), High Peak Buses, Little's of Ilkeston and Hulleys of Baslow. Most of the commercial routes are already covered by trentbarton services but fellow Wellglade-owned Notts & Derby are operating a partial replacement for the Y59 (Derby-Ilkeston-Shipley View).
