I hav been on a central line 92 stock a few years ago and this happened between Liverpool St and Bethnal Green. It was only an end carriage door and it was if the ram failed, so the door could slide on its own freewill. It had slide open and was rocking back and forth.

I'm surprised the line wasn't then suspended with the entire stock thoroughly checked over, especially with them all being semi-automated.

What the actual heck?! What if the train was crowded? Very disturbing. I would've pulled the alarm and alerted the driver IMMEDIATELY

The fact the train is moving at some speed suggests no one did anything while the train left Finchley Road and some of the train was still in the platform / car markers area. It's clearly much more important to get your moment of social media glory. Obviously we don't know for certain what happened here. There could be several explanations and probably best not to speculate about it. I expect there will be an official investigation as it is a serious "wrong side" failure of the rolling stock / train control systems.

There are several possibilities as to how this occurred and as Snoggle rightly said we should not speculate however knowing the train circuits like I do and the lack of any demands for the trains off the operational railway I’m concerned for the driver on this one.

After reading the article,it seems like the driver used an override switch to reset a problen with the computer system and that switch also (overrided?overrid?) the door control system so the train would move

After reading the article,it seems like the driver used an override switch to reset a problen with the computer system and that switch also (overrided?overrid?) the door control system so the train would move Would then explain why the line wasn't subsequently suspended with the entire line's stock checked over as human error was 'presumably' established very soon after that Finchley Road to West Hampstead event.
